 i always bring up matt barnes when this topic comes up. He was a 5 star recruit out of citruis heights high school in scarmento. He led the enitre state of california in toughdowns his senior year. He had his choice of school as a football player and was much more highly regarded for football then basketball coming out highschool. He stated on mulitple occasions between his sophomore year of college at ucla all the way through his like 4th or 5th year in the nba that he would easily transition to football if basketball didnt work out.

Pretty much any athletic point guard, shooting guard, or small forward would make either good receivers or tight ends especially the 6’6+ guys with hops like iguodala, gay, lebron, durant,  MCW, gerald green, jeff green, wiggins… The list goes on.

These guys would also be good at special teams defense because they would probably have a really good chance of blocking field goal attempts. Athletic Centers, especially like Jordan, Gobert, and Dwight.

 I will throw Jae Crowder out there 6’6 240lbs and known as a tough undersized PF/SF combo player. I think he has the athleticism to convert into a TE like some ex ballers have. Also Stanley Johonson has the size and toughness I think to have a chance at converting. Of course you’ve got to throw Nate Robinson’s name in there since he was a stud CB in his college days. If Aaron Craft makes a squad this year he was a all state QB in Ohio during high school with offers to play D1 football.

 How about Chris Paul as a quarterback?  His IQ is off the charts and he’s wizard passing the ball.  Seems like a fit to me.  He’s not overly quick or explosive, but he has very good athleticism.  It’s between the ears that makes him great.

To add on the ‘Glen Davis should have been in the NFL’ conversation, Big Baby is straight from one of Chip Kelly’s wet dreams. He’s a massive man who for some supernatural reason is able to play 25 minutes in a NBA game without collapsing. He would be an incase Offensive Lineman.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute as a Linebacker would be scary. He’s long, strong and griddy, something you need to shutdown tight ends. 

Reggie Evans as a tight-end. This man is tough as nails and rips rebounds out of the air… Perfect for red-zone scoring. He could have been Gronk status had he chose the grid-iron

Also, stephen curry has what it takes to be a good quarterback in my opinion. He’s a great shooter because of his mechanics and muscle memory, 2 very important aspects of being a good passer. If he had dedicated the time that he put into being a good basketball player into being a good football player, there is little reason to believe that he wouldn’t be a good quarterback. He would probably one of the fastest quarterbacks too but at his current build I dont think he could take a hit though he is very strong for his size.

Though someone can argue that his father had taught him the necessary mechanics to be a good shooter because he was one himself and therefore would not be able to teach him to be a good passer because he (Dell) does not have expertise in that area
