Wavy BagelsParticipantAfter the simultaneous announcements of Grant Hill and Jason Kidd retiring from the game of basketball, I took the time to look at some notable players that were drafted after the ’94 NBA Draft (the year Kidd and Hill were drafted) and are still active to see the next group of players that are projected to follow suit of retiring in short time.
1995 – Kevin Garnett, Jerry Stackhouse (In-and-out at this point)
1996 – Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, Steve Nash, Jermaine O’Neal, Derek Fisher
1997 – Tim Duncan, Tracy McGrady, Stephen Jackson
1998 – Vince Carter, Dirk Nowitzki, Antawn Jamison, Paul Pierce, Rashard Lewis, Al Harrington, Nazr Mohammed
1999 – Andre Miller, Metta World Peace, Jason Terry, Lamar Odom, Shawn Marion, Elton Brand, Rip Hamilton, Manu Ginobili, Andrei Kirilenko
This a solid bunch, and soon (Unless you’re Juwan Howard), they will all retire. Not as golden as players like MJ, Hakeem, Malone, Barkley, Stockton, Ewing, etc., but an excellent generation of players that has evolved from its generation before them.

FutureNBAGMParticipantAnd don’t forget about Juwan Howard, the last active member of the class of ’94

DolanCareParticipantThe concept of iconic players retiring is new to me. I’ve always wondering how it will feel once a player may age retires.

r377ParticipantI have massive respect for Andre Miller. In 15 seasons he has only missed 8 games. 3 games due to injury and 5 games to being traded / suspension.
He has played in 9 playoff series and never gotten out of the first round !!!
I really liked him in game 1 against GS where he put up 28 pts in their victory.

LipstickParticipantNice list! I made a top ten list of the best players from the 1994 Draft a couple days ago. Thought it would contribute to the threat a little bit. http://chickennoodlehoop.com/2013/06/05/the-top-10-players-from-the-1994-nba-draft/
Either way, I’m still surprised Jermaine O’Neal is still playing and it feels like yesterday when the draft classes of ’98 and ’99 were young upstarts in the league, specifically Vince Carter.
