lakeshow22ParticipantBill Simmons and Jalen Rose will join Magic Johnson and Micheal Wilbon on NBA Countdown replacing Jon Barry and Chris Broussard.
Thoughts?

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantAny guy that calls out Skip Bayless on live television is cool with me

i’m jus so offendedParticipantI like the move quite a bit. Hopefully Simmons grows into a tv role. He was ok on PTI when I saw. The didnt finish the job though as Magic needs to get the boot as well. If they had SVG instead of Magic, I would love that show

frogmanParticipantI would love Magic to leave as Wilbon constantly sucking him is cringeworthy. SVG would be awesome but that means he would probably have to leave commentary and that would be crap as he is too damn good.

aamir543ParticipantI love to read Simmons’ collums but personally the stuff he says sounds like he just banged his head on a pole, but he’s still really funny. I love Jalen Rose as well, I think he’ll be a nice addition as well.

moochieeParticipantBill Simmons is a hiliarious writer, but I’m skeptical to whether or not he can be a good TV personality. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can bring though, cause if one thing is for sure it is that he doesn’t beat around the bush.

LipstickParticipantSimmons is a plus and even he admitted on the BS Report that the TNT guys are way ahead of them. He just wants to help NBA Countdown be good rather than try the impossible reach for TNT’s greatness. He’ll add a lot of humor. Great writer. Hopefully he can translate to the cameras, which I’m nervous about.
I’m not sure what Rose will bring, really. His analysis about NBA teams and players is very on the nose and not that in-depth, though he’s quite the character.
NBA Countdown needed some new blood and had to change it up regardless. Hopefully there’s two great pregame and post game shows to watch Tuesday through Friday.
NBA on NBC was so good based on the theme song alone 🙁

417basketballfanParticipantsimmons is witty and won’t try to act like he’s more intelligent then players who have act played compared to what skip bayless does all the time. The only thing that bothers me about simmons being on tv is his voice. But hopefully we can get use to it through time.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI like Jon Barry much more than Jalen Rose on TV. I read Bill Simmons book twice and had great respect for him, but in the last two years he seems more interested with watching reality TV shows than basketball.
