armchairgmParticipantOn a side note was anybody else locked out of this site for like a week? I kept getting a 400 bad request for cookies/header file being too large. Had to turn off my cookies on this site to be able to use the site, but then you can’t log in to forums because your cookies are off. Randomly tried to turn cookies back on today and seems fine again. If it happens again I’m going to say RIP to this site so if you don’t see me anymore you know why lol.

NorrinRaddParticipantI heard it through the grapevine that this site was having some issues with posters getting on….
I’m going to marinate before I put my awards out. Hahaha. Hard to argue with your awards though.0 - Posted on: Sat, 04/08/2023 - 6:34am #1259413
HitsterParticipantMVP – Giannis and Jokic are the top players on the two Conference leaders but I’m going for Embeast as he hasn’t won it before and is the scoring leader.
ROY – Pablo Banchero followed by Benedict Mathurin
MIP – I did think about Sabonis as he has taken his game to the next level now but I agree SGA is logical choice although voting for an All Star and possible All NBA guy might seem a bit of a kop out
DPOY – Brook Lopez has attracted some support but I agree JJJ is the outstanding candidate
6th Man of the Year – I think it will be Brogdon or Quickly with Portis maybe in the mix but I’ll throw in Benedict Mathurinwho has outscored any of these from the bench but not on a contending team.
Coach of the Year – Again I agree with it beimng Mike Brown achieving a near 20 win improvement cannot be overlooked.1+ - Posted on: Sat, 04/08/2023 - 3:33pm #1259416
Anton1234ParticipantI am a huge Denver fan, and to me it’s between Embiid and Giannis. Jokic was great for the majority of the season, but so were the other guys. I feel like it was a close race, so Jokic’s and Denver’s atrocious end to the season takes him out of contention. I know the games did not mean much, but come on, Jokic is alternating between missing games and scoring 8-12 points. That’s not an MVP kind of season for me.

NorrinRaddParticipantMVP Jokic
ROY Paolo
DPOY JJJ
6TH Brogdon
MIP Markkanen
Coach Mark Daigneault0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/09/2023 - 2:55am #1259424
Anton1234ParticipantMVP – Embiid (explained earlier, Denver will probably be 6-11 in the last 17 games, that takes Jokic out for me).
ROY – Paolo
DPOY – Lopez (biased because I’d love him to get one. I’m taking more games and minutes played over better per-minute production). But I feel JJJ will get the actual award.
6-th man – Brogdon
Coach – Brown
MIP – Markkanen (I feel like Sabonis, Morant, Shai were are very bery good last year, but Lauri was like the 4th best player on a team that did not make the playoffs. The jump Lauri made is the highest for me. Sure it might be more about opportunity than improvement, but MIP often is).2+ - Posted on: Sun, 04/09/2023 - 7:58am #1259434
HitsterParticipantOKC improving by 16 wins and with Chet to come next season could make Mark Daigneault a good early candidate for next season’s COY if the Thunder are over 0.500 and back in a top 6 play off birth then.
