While most people would say Wiggins, that’s literally impossible to answer. Someone may come up a few years after Wiggins and be better than him, or he may not even be as good as predicted.

  Yes, I know that, this question requres an educated guess, and Wiggins is probably the best player to not be in college or in the pros with the highest potential in the world right now. Guys like Westbrook or A Davis were late bloomers and came out of nowhere to turn into some of the best players in the world right now. Sorry, I was bored with the other threads.

  Well, we didnt have as many ways of viewing recruits as we do now (ballislife, hoopmixtape, cityleaguehoops, social media, recruiting websites, tv coverage, etc.) Now we can see who the best grade school kids are for crying out loud. Had we had all those things LeBron wouldve been viewed in the public eye as possbly the game’s next great, but few people even knew who he was until he was drafted. I will say no one has been as good as him at the HS level since then.

    Not sure if you paid attention to basketball while Lebron was in high school but he actually had the same amount if not more hype than wiggins has today. And back then it was very rare for high school players to get national exposure at the level of today 10+ years ago. As a sophomore in high school Lebron was almost for sure to skip college and go to the nba because he was guaranteed #1 pick. They even made a documentary about his last 2 or 3 (can’t remember if it started in his sophomore or junior year) years in high school. Yes I know it was released after he was already in the nba but they did film it while he was in high school so the hype was already there.
    Can’t really agree with you saying few people knew who Lebron was in high school because he is probably the most nationally televised high school basketball player ever.

If you say 5 years then it’s kd. Kd is only 23 and this past year averaged 29 pts 8 rebs 3.5 asst 1 block and 1.5 steals per game. Yes he averaged 3.6 turnovers but other than that kd is a new complete player. 10 years is WAY too long

I wouldn’t be so quick to write off KD as the best player in 10 years, he’s never going to lose that length, and his jumper will only get better as he gets older, so the things that make him great today will still be there in 10 years. Was Jordan not the best player in the NBA after that age?
I really wouldn’t go so far as to count out KD just yet, he’ll easily still be dominant then, and as good as Wiggins is, he doesn’t have the freakish length or smoothness of KD.
I’m surprised no one has said Anthony Davis after all the hype he received, or John Wall if you’re talking pure upside.
My wildcard answer would have to be Andre Drummond. His upside is ridiculous, and he’s in a great situation in Detroit with a great core around him.

This is a ridiculous question to ask, 10 years? Assuming this person’s prime is in ten years (so they’ll be 26-28 or so) you’re looking for someone who is 16 or 17 years old. They probably haven’t even graduated high school yet and personally I’m not travelling the world watching high school games…

  He is a kid with ENORMOUS pontential and is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He might be the closest player to Hakeem Olajuwon when it is all said and done… Dude can do everything pretty well and is barely 15 years old and has just started High School…
