I highly doubt that Sullinger will last until pick 8, especially considering the way he’s been playing in the all year and in the tourney. I also don’t see the Suns picking Nolan Smith, especially since they just acquired Aaron Brooks. Granted, he hasn’t been playing well as of late, but he’s shown that he belongs in the NBA.

Alec Burks is way too high. Colorado didn’t make the tournament, so scouts have a smaller body of work to view Burks with; he’ll probably go lottery, but top 6? Unlikely. I also doubt that Valunciunas will fall all the way to 16. He is probably a lottery pick. You also have Jajuan Johnson and Keith Benson going second round. It’s possible, but Johnson can probably fit in well with a contender that needs a player to contribute right away (end of the first) and with the lack of big man depth in the draft, Benson has a pretty good chance of sneaking in to the first round.

What’s wrong. I like your top 5 but after that I don’t agree with it one bit. Burks going 6th are you crazy? The Jazz have a SG in Miles and he is doing great. Don’t forget AK is a free agent next year and he might not ger resigned because of the expected lowered salary cap. Jazz might not have enough money. Miles, Price, Watson and Elson are also coming off the books. I only see two of them getting resigned, Miles and Watson. They still need a SF and Terrance Jones would be perfect. He can pass well and that is what the Jazz’s offense depends on. He’s perfect for them.

Sullinger and Monroe would be a nice combo down low for the Pistons, but if Perry Jones slips to 7 expect the Pistons to select him.

Just because Milwaukee has Ilyasova and Jennings does not mean they love Internationals like Toronto does. Redd is coming back next year but I don’t see it working out. Salmons is working out either as their replacement. The 9th pick could be the perfect spot for Burks. Then they could slide Salmons to the three and send Maggette else where. Bogut and Sanders are a good start down low why change that by drafting Vesely.

As far as I’m concerned Kemba is the second best PG in this draft. He won 5 games in 5 nights then won two straight after that. What more do you need to be convinced. Besides he’s a better passer than Jimmer.  I don’t see Kemba falling past the Bobcats. And I especially don’t expect the Bobcats to select a PG who will probably only be a 6th man energy type guy at best. And why is everyone so impressed with Brandon Knight? He struggled against Hampton, had an average season, and so far had a great performance in round 2, but thats it. That aint enough to impress me. Still a mid first rounder to me. The highest I would put him at is at 15. Don’t bank on him to prove his worth in the lottery. He might dissapoint by struggling against Ohio State. I wouldn’t put Knight in the lottery until he has a good night against Ohio State and UNC if they get that far, but I doubt Kentucky does.

Why would the Warriors select Montie. Because they used to have Donnie Nelson who succeeded with Dirk and Montie is expected to be like him? They already have Lee, what are they gonna do stick Montie at Center? We’ve already seen the results of that in Toronto. Doesn’t work, why try it again. If Hamilton decides to enter the Draft, I wouldn;t be surprised if the Warriors pick him and try to deal Ellis else where.

The Jazz need a big man? Um since when they have plenty already. Jefferson, Millsap, Fez, Favors, and Memo will come back next year. That’s 5big man why would they need a 6th man. The Jazz have holes at SF and 6th man (now that they start Miles) If Jimmer is still available he would be perfect pick for the Jazz’s second lottery pick.

Jonas is a talented and gifted Center. He’s going in the lottery. This is the only site that has him projected in the mid first round. Interesting enough it is also the only site that has Burks going in the lottery. Something’s gotta give. The Cavs or the Rockets could select Jonas. They could really use him.

I heard that both Thompson and Hamilton will return to Texas, but even if Hamilton does decide to declare he is not slipping that far.

The Rockets traded Brooks not because they want a PG this year. They traded him because they like Lowry.  I don’t know what it takes to convince people of that. Besides the Rockets already have a backup PG in Dragic. Knight would just cause more problems. If Jonas is not available at 12 expect the Rockets to go for a 3 like maybe Vesely or Leonard. I don’t think that they intend to start Budinger permanently. I think its just temporarily since they traded away Battier.

Pheonix already has a PG that is learning under the mentoring of Nash. That’s why they did the Brooks trade. Why would they need another PG that is just as good as Brooks if not worse?

Thats all I will comment on for now, but other things need to change. Look at team depth before you do picks. If  a team has alot at one position then don’t expect them to pick another guy at that same position. What do they lack, who is not performing as expected. Those are the questions you need to ask yourself especially with this kind of draft.

Okay first of all.. how…. and what the hell did you say to get 103 points in 3 posts?! lol. That must have been some genius post you made I’m sure.

If the the Wizards had the second pick, I don’t see them taking Derrick Williams. Yes, they could use some big man depth behind Blatche but if you look at who Washington small forwards are (Rasard Lewis, Josh Howard) you’ll quickly realize how much they could use some young talent at that position. At EVERY position the Wizards have a ton of talent from John Wall to Nick Young to Andray to Javale.. and those are just the starters. Then you have Jordan Crawford backing up Young and several young and talented big men in Yi, Booker, and Kevin Seraphin. So unless the Wizards are planning to trade most of their big man away I don’t see Derrick Williams making much sense for them. Harrison Barnes makes the most sense for them if he is still available. If he isn’t then Terrence Jones or even Perry Jones makes more sense for them. The Wizards collectively have one of the best teams in terms of potential and you can see that at every position except the 3 spot. They don’t really have a back up at the moment but when you have John Wall you don’t really need one except to maybe play a couple minutes a game to give him some rest. I’m not saying your projection of Williams to the Wizards is wrong I just don’t think it makes sense when Harrison Barnes is still on the table.

I actually like Alec Burks to the Jazz at the 6th pick. Is it a bit high for him? Yes. But I don’t see them taking a big man with the Al Jefferson/Paul Millsap combo.. not to mention Derrick Favors, who would be a top 3 pick in this draft. They have Gordan Hayward who has shown flases of potential at the small forward spot and Devin Harris manning the 1 position. Burk at 6 does seem a little high but he is reminisent of Brandon Roy, the 6th selection in the 2006 draft class; not only making the connection as being the 6th pick but he does remind me of Brandon Roy with his savvy and ball handling ability. Another guy they could go with is Brandon Knight. He is the type of player who could easily play both the point and shooting guard position. I assume Harris will be running the point for the Jazz for the next few years and a guy like Knight, well known for his work ethic, could really gain a lot from watching Harris; and like I said.. with Knights skill set he could easily slide over to the 2 spot at times so getting burn wouldn’t pose as much of a problem. He’s got good size and strength and is an adequate defender but what really makes him intriuging is his shooting.. could be a Jason Terry type of player for the Jazz splitting time at the 1 and 2.

@jdfilapino. I have been watching the Jazz all year so I know what I am talking about when it comes to the Jazz. Yes, Hayward has shown flashes of potential but in the end I see him as being a backup role player that can knock the occasional 3 that the Jazz need. He is not gonna be a starter and personally I would have gone with Paul George. The Jazz have recently been starting Miles at the 2 and I think it is a great move. The past 4 games he averaged about 25pts a game, made 2 or more 3’s, grabbed at least 3-4 boards. (He had 8 in his first start!) And gotten like 2-3 assists! (I would do the exact averages but I don’t have much time to figure that out. I’ll tell them later) He’s playing great and I am convinced that he is our shooting guard of the future. Now because Miles is starting the Jazz do need a sixth man since Miles used to be the sixth man. Knight  would not be a bad pick, but as of know I do not think he resembles a lottery pick. But if he plays against Ohio State then I would definitely say he will be a lottery pick. But even if that happens the Jazz will have a tough time deciding between him and Jimmer with their late lottery pick. The fans will be rooting for Jimmer and the management will be going for who ever fits the team more. It should be interesting who KOC picks.

With the early lottery pick (top 6), the Jazz would be smart if they selected another small forward. This draft class is very strong in that position meaning that if the Jazz select one high it will probably be a good pick. In this case, fortunately AK is a free agent next year, and I don’t think the Jazz will be able to keep him. With Miles undoubtedly improving and thus solidifying his starting role the Jazz will not need Burks. I admit he is a good pick for the Jazz but I would more like the Jazz to trust that CJ can coninue to improve and not crowd up the 2 spot. (They already have an improving CJ and Bell and they might resign Price in the offseason.) Drafting a 3 would be the best thing to do for the Jazz with thier top 6 pick (I think). Terrance Jone will most likely fall right into their laps and he too is a good passer. (He used to play PG before he grew alot. So he still has kept those PG skills) Terrance Jones would be the perfect pick for them unless by some miracle Harrison Barnes is still available.
