Here’s How I think The Summit went down. If you don’t believe there was a Summit- Go With me here. Remember, this is just a crazy opinion.

The Members of the Meeting- LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Boozer, Johnson, Stoudemire, Gay

All the players met and sat down, had lunch and broke it down like this. All players wrote down the 1st 3 choices where they would love to play. Here’s how I think that went down

James wrote: Chicago, Cleveland, New York
Wade wrote: Miami, Chicago, New York
    Bosh wrote: Miami, Chicago, Houston
Boozer wrote: Miami, New Jersey, Utah
Johnson wrote: New York, Los Angles, Miami
Stoudemire wrote: Miami, New York, Chicago
Gay Wrote: Los Angles, New Jersey, Miami

I believe at this point, Boozer is pushing hard to go to Miami. He tells D-Wade that he’s been wanting to go to Miami for 2 seasons now. Bosh wants to team up with LeBron or Wade. Since he sees Chicago as the number one team, he isin’t too upset that Boozer wants to go to Miami and leans towards Chicago. Wade WANTS Bosh. Wade is pushing for Bosh over Boozer. Joe Johnson “likes” every team Wade, Bosh and James wants to go to but sees NY as a easy Max contract and a easier system to thrive in. With Amare looking at the fact that Bosh leans towards Chicago and Boozer begs to play in Miami- He likes NY even more. Since Rudy Gay is not really in the conversation, he changes his list to Miami, Los Angles, New Jersey because he knows Miami wants to build around 3 players. He knows Memphis cannot match a max contract due to financial situation but believes a deal close to 100 million could force Memphis’ hand and doing a S&T to get him there. Wade isin’t sure about it and will look into it.

    James- Chicago
    Bosh- Chicago
    Wade- Miami
    Boozer- Miami
    Johnson- New York
    Stoudemire- New York
    Gay- Los Angeles

Thoughts? I know some negatives will come my way but it’s all good.

Miami will get 3 of them for sure either

    Wade/James/Bosh

    Wade/Johnson/Stoudemire

    Wade/Gay/Stoudemire

    Wade/Johnson/Boozer

    Wade/James/Johnson

Chicago could get Bosh/James/Johnson 2 of them sign for theit contract first then they offer a S&T for the 3rd guy maybe Johnson.

The summit was, they went to a basketball court somewhere in Indonesia. Where Dwyane Wade shot and made a 3 so he was captian, James made the next 3. Dwyane picked Bosh.. James picked STAT. Wade picked Johnson. James picked Boozer. Gay sat and watched them play and calls Jay-Z.

The Summit takes place on an island somewhere in the South Pacific that technically “doesn’t exist”. The invitees? James, Wade, Bosh, Amare, Boozer, Johnson, and much to his surprise and delight, Gay. All the players arrive via private submarine, there are no guests permitted, not even for the travel. They all take their seats around a large rectangular table, as Bosh mixes the drinks. They sit around, sip their drinks and shoot the sh!t for a while, when suddenly, Gay slumps in his chair. He awakes, groggy. He’s been drugged. He finds himself in a cage that is slowly being lowered into a pool of what appears to some sort of hammerhead shark/angler fish hybrid. James has been working on cross-breeding the animals for years, and its finally paid off. The other 6 players stand around the edge of the pool in a circle and offer Gay the chance to purchase his life back. You see, they’ve had a plan all along. James, Bosh and Wade will play in Miami, while Johnson, Amare and Booz head to Chi-town to join up with Rose. All the players take pay cuts to make it work, but they don’t mind, they use the money from Gay to make up for the losses. They tell Gay to keep his mouth shut if he knows what’s good for him, and of course he obliges, he knows nobody would believe him anyway. Gay heads to New York to fill his pockets with as much dough has he can, so that when he retires he can live the rest of his life on the run, slowly plotting his revenge…

miami will clearly get three.. just dont know which three.. wade is for sure one.. the knicks are in a very bad position because miami will get three and chi will get 2. which leaves the knicks fighting with other teams for the left overs. miami and chi is much more attractive then the knicks at this point

I think LeBron doesn’t know for sure, but probably he wants to stay in Cleveland. I think his buddy Maverick Carter wants to stay there. I think LeBron has a big enough ego to feel that he knows if he leaves that it will be viewed as him not being good enough to lead a team to a title. Maverick Carter and his marketing guys have to know (repeat HAVE TO KNOW) that leaving Cleveland for another team would make him hatable. If he goes to Miami, then his fanbase in NY, Dallas, Chicago, LA, and Cleveland will evaporate. That is the fans in the top four markets and that of his home state. He’d be viewed like A-Rod, as a money grubbing mercenary, Mr. March, and a fraud. I don’t think he wants that, though obviously he knows that teaming up with Wade and Bosh puts him in a position to go on a 72-10 type run. Going to Chicago with Rose and Joe Johnson could position him for titles for the next decade. It is not cut-and-dry. Everything is fluid, but I think he is still leaning to Cleveland.

I would guess that miami will start next year with bosh wade and james in the starting lineup. They just need to somehow aquire some lineup depth behind that. who do they have? Qrich, Haslem, Chalmers, Alston (highly unlikely he ever puts on a heat jersey again), and Carlos Arroyo. Thats assuming they unload Beasley. that leaves them w/o a true center.

i think chi is in the greatest position because even without getting lebron they will be in a great position to contend with joe johnson, boozer, gay or even david lee

I wish I could remember the Brazilian soccer player who had a great line. There were two players on a team who took like every shot and a reporter asked about why he and the other guy dominated the ball the way they did. His response was something along the lines of “Some people play the piano, and others carry the piano.” If you put LeBron, Wade, and Bosh on the same team, anyone can find six or seven minimum salary signings to screen, rebound, defend, hit a three on a kickout, and carry the piano. Stars win titles. Jordan and Pippen won six, nobody else from that era of the Bulls won six. Magic, Kareem, and Cooper won five in the 1980s with the Lakers, nobody ele. Also, that was before free agency as we now know it. Role players can be found. Pat Riley can find the next Joakim Noah or Kendrick Perkins on the scrap heap. He can find the next Boobie Gibson or J.J. Redick. He can certainly find the next Bruce Bowen, because he found the first one. Those guys don’t matter nearly as much as the stars, and a guy like Pat Riley can find them.

actually they are both important. jordan and pippen won not only because they were good but the other players were pretty good as well as the lakers. any coach will tell you that you need those role players. if you have minimum pay guys who dont do anything you arent gonna win. yes they can find guys who will but they can also end up finding guys who cant. its naive to think just any min guys will do because thats not true. none of those champs won with just throwing any min guys on the team. kerr harper, hoarce paxson were all good consistant players who wouldnt be just min pay players if they were playing now.

Actually that isn’t true. Luc Longley was considered a bust before he went to the Bulls. Steve Kerr was on his way out of the league. Bill Wennington was a scrap heap guy. Ron Harper was brought in after Jordan retired and stunk. Jordan came back, and all of a sudden Harper had a career resurgence. Jason Caffey and Dickey Simpkins were draft picks, but were never heard from again once they left Chicago. Buddah Edwards, Randy Brown, Jud Buechler, Jack Haley, and Spider Salley were done for before catching on with a team that went on to win 72 games. They played, they had roles, but they were easily replaceable, easily found guys. The one steal acquisition they had was Dennis Rodman. He was traded for Will Perdue. Don’t try to rewrite history, Jordan turned a bunch of fringe NBA players into champions and every one of them got rich off it.

and all those guys were better then collins, and theo are right now..nice try.. as long as you believe that guys liek collins would be good enough as a starter ( he cant even play over less then average big men) then thats all that matters. just putting out any big man is not gonna do. other teams have already tried that against the lakers……doesnt work…also lebron wade, bosh ….none of them are jordan so why even bring up the bulls?

Because LeBron James is this generation’s Magic Johnson, this generation’s Michael Jordan. He elevates the play of his teammates. If you put him with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, it is over until Wade’s body breaks down. People like you will be talking about what a steal D’Sean Butler and Jarvis Varnado were in the 2nd round. You’ll make the same mistake about the shooter to be signed later as you did about Steve Kerr when you thought he was anything more than a fringe NBA player.

The only way Bosh goes to Chicago is if Worldwide Wes starts yapping in his ear.
