They say all records are made to be broken. Until relatively recently, most people never thought it possible that a team could win over 70 games in a season, or a player could average a triple double for a season, or a player could hit over 400 3s in a season. Even Kareems points record, which was long considered untouchable, seems destined to fall at some point. However, there are a few records that seem very unlikely to ever be challenged.

A.C. Green (1192 consecutive games played)
Now that we have entered an age of science and load management, this would seem to be extremely safe. Even if a player deliberately tried to break this record, the odds of them lasting over 14 seasons in the league without sustaining an injury serious enough to miss one game are about one in a million. This ones likely never being challenged.

Wilt Chamberlain (48.5 mpg in 1962)
There are a lot of wilts records on this list, but this might be the most absurd. He basically never came out of the game for any reason in 1962. No one is ever coming close to this.

    Wilt (50.4 ppg in 1962)
There are a bunch of reasons this is unattainable (see the above record for one). The game has changed so much, scoring opportunities have decreased and defenses have gotten much more sophisticated. While it’s becoming possible that we might see someone top 40 ppg for a season in the future, no one will ever challenge this record).

Basically all of wilts rebounding records
Wilt averaged 27.2 rpg in 1961. He had a 55 rebound game at one point in his career. Both of those records are never going to be even remotely approached. In fact, no one has averaged over 20 rpg or grabbed over 40 in a game since the late 60s. And even though careers are lasting longer it still seems extremely unlikely that anyone comes close to grabbing 23, 924 career rebounds.

Mark Eaton (456 blocks in 1984)
Eaton had one specific skill on the court. He was very tall and could block a lot of shots. In 1984, he blocked an absurd 5.6 per game. Given that blocks have generally been declining in recent years and no player has even blocked over 4 per game since mutumbo in the mid 90s, this one is probably not being challenged anytime soon.

John Stockton ( 15,806 career assists)
From about the year 1987 through 1996, Stockton just racked up assists at a pace no one in history has come close to. Couple that with the fact that he almost never missed a game and you have a record that is basically untouchable. The next closest player (Jason Kidd) is nearly 4000 behind and there are no active players anywhere near the pace that would be needed.

    Bill Russell (11 rings)
There are actually a bunch of players who are close to Russell in this regard, but the caveat is that they were all teammates of Russell. No player in modern era has come close, and with the depth and growth of the league since the 1960s its extremely unlikely anyone ever will.

    Rasheed Wallace (41 technical 2001)
This will never come close to happening again simply because the rules have changed and it’s just too costly to rack up that many techs now. Of all the records on this list, this might be the safest.

Lakers Pistons 1950 (37 points combined)
This was of course pre-shot clock era.

DeMarcus Cousins might break that technical foul record with the way refs treat him

A record was just broken (since we statistically kept record at least) for steals in 1 half. The record is 9 by of all players TJ McConnell in 1 half! Yeah the first half he had 9 and he finished with just 1 more in the second half totaling 10 steals. Unless some stat head actually starts counting stats from before the 1973-1974 and some player had the record before already, this record could hold at least for a while.
