I love this site. Let me start with that. I used to bartend and the conversational knowledge I gained from others’ scouting and informed opinions was very valuable. I also like the point system. It adds credibility and a little responsibility to the posts. IMO the most under utilized portion of this site is it’s wealth of history posted in real time. Wouldn’t it be awesome if there were filters installed to pull that information? I could kill hours checking to see who was the first person to mention Rudy Gobert or Giannis on this site and what their analysis was. What was the most reviled post on history? What was the most popular? Call out flip floppers by searching their names and topics. Give due credit to unpopular opinions that proved true. The possiblities would be almost endless and could reinvent the site. I know nothing of IT but this doesn’t seem impossible. Anyone else agree this would make this site more fun?

I would love that integration to the site and would add a lot of value. And not that this is the point of your post, the link below is what endeared me to this site and I just can’t help myself

Candidate, for most reviled post on this sites history. Haha

Fell in love with nbadraft.net after this thread. Still remember checking back throughout the day to see the latest when it was posted. It literally caused multiple users to change their names to include "krypt".

I miss the Don, (aka CJ McCollum). He was great for absolute rubbish posts.

Yeah, I agree. All of those suggestions would add to this site.

However I started on this site when I was 13, so I don’t know if I’d be a huge fan of enhanced searching tools… one of my first posts was regarding a trade suggestion that sent Brandon Jennings and Ilyasova (crazy that these guys are back with the bucks now) from the Bucks to the Magic for Harkless, Afflalo, Doron Lamb, Romero Osby and 2 first round picks. Lmao. I got -31 for that. I was a stupid kid haha.

Also, while I do like this site, some aspects do seem stuck in the early 2000s…

I like the idea but I’m in the same boat as zcnumerouno. I joined this site in 2009 I believe, when I was 21, and maybe even before that. But I was super immature back then and therefore accumulated a ton of negative points. I even complained about the point system a couple times which made my points even worse. Then about 2013 I realized enough is enough, this site was never going to get rid of the points system and I was going to have to conform or get off my site and delete my account. I obviously chose the former, and started to be a bit smarter about my posts. It took me about a year to get my points back to the positives and ever since then I’ve been being smart about what I post and don’t post. And of course my points have shown the effect of that. I’m afraid that if this site had enhanced searching tools like the OP is suggesting people will find my old immature complaints about whatever, and neg me just for the heck of it.

Do you ever find that someone has negged a heap of your old posts? I get that every now and then, it’s weird.

I’m pretty sure there was a point scandal in 2009 or 2010 thats when I stopped using the site and came back as OhCanada. Then there was another in 2012.

Heres a good list. Some things to note are.

    82.Points scandal of 2012

There was a glitch in the point system where you could give (and I think takeaway) any amount of points.

    34.John Wall Fails Drug Test

Famous april fools troll thread. This thread vanished as did many others. Wish I could read it.

30.”What Made You Crack Up Today Thread”

Best thread Nbadraft.net has to offer still in the archives.

    http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/what-made-you-crack-today

    28.llperez’s Id’s

For some reason when I saw these I laughed for a good 10 minutes. I imagine he looks like that still to this day. If anyone can find those id’s that would be great.

    9.D’Nyces Trades

I dont know if this guy was a troll or just delusional but he made the most outlandish Lakers trade scenerios. He makes the 2018 nbadraft.net Lakers group seem overall rational when they said they would get PG, Kawhi and Lebron.

I think I missed the glory days of this site… That "what made you crack up today" thread was epic.
