OhCanada-ParticipantNever paid much attention to it but theres been speculation that he will be going to Toronto. Now that the draft is close… The one rumor that actually is questionable is the fact that he followed Toronto on Instagram. He also named his youth team the Team Trezz Raptors back in July and hes been working out with Stanle Johnson.

dmo21ParticipantI don’t like it. He’s a solid energy big off the bench, but I don’t think he actually changes the game that much. Doesn’t really fit what the Raps like at center (good defenders that can stretch the floor). He’s not a good shooter, not a good defender and doesn’t have much size. I think he’ll be a waste of money as just an energy big. Might as well get Tristan Thompson if you’re going to do that.
Personally, I’d like to retain Ibaka and then take a flier on a guy like Baynes, Meyers Leonard or Willy Hernangomez.

OhCanada-ParticipantI agree. Theres cheaper Cs that can serve similar results. Thompson like you mentioned. My personal fav Klye O’Quinn who I think could have a great season with Toronto. Biyombo could return. Harrell maybe better but hes more expensive and risky.

dmo21ParticipantI like those guys too, as I’m a big fan of the prototypical old school big man who plays on the block and defends the paint. However, it seems like Nurse’s system works best when the center can spread the floor and defend. That’s why I don’t like seeing guys like Harrell, O’Quinn and Biyombo going to the Raptors while I like the ideas of Ibaka, Baynes, Leonard and Hernangomez. I’m basing it on system and fit and not just who I like as players.

canadabasketballisrisingParticipantIbaka is a much better player= no

dmo21ParticipantWell Ibaka can shoot (threes and free throws) and defend, which Montrezl currently is not good at. Montrezl is good at what he does (come off the bench and attack the boards), but I’m not breaking the bank for that as I don’t think it contributes that much to winning and you can find other guys to do that for far less money. Maybe there’s a reason Montrezl saw less playing time in the playoffs when things actually mattered? To me, he’s fools gold. What’s the difference between him and Faried?

sniperParticipantI think Harrell is one of the best and most underrated players in the NBA, but a Siakam/Harrell frontcourt paired with a Lowry/Van Vleet backcourt is just too small.
