0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/31/2009 - 5:18pm #208498

MagikKnickParticipantI heard rumors about a trade, but not dallas o_O
Link?Plus, I just dont see where he’d fit on that team..They have Jason Terry, Jason Kidd, JJ Barea, and 1 of MY steals in the draft with Rodgrique Beabouis

R-Dot-13ParticipantUnless they trade away PG, this wouldnt work.
May not start, plus doesnt help the development of Beaubois .0 - Posted on: Mon, 08/31/2009 - 5:21pm #208500

NBATalk20098Participanti heard on espn.com

Henry25Participanti heard this too, but i just dont undertstand why dallas would want him. PS. Don Nelso is becoming my least favorite person in the league, bar none. this dude is an ego maniac, who loves a player one year and then he gets a new player and hate the old one. Example: He loved Monta a few years a go, and now that he has Stephen Curry, he wants nothing to do with Monta. the dude has single handedly ruined the warriors in my opnion

RickyRubio9ParticipantMikenike, you funny man. Real funny, but um if Dallas can somehow get Jackson and Ellis for Howard and garbage then WOW. They’d look something like, PG – Kidd, Ellis, Jackson, Dirk, Dampier, Bench: Jet, Marion, Gooden, enough said! That’s a good looking team. Someone stop anything like that from happening. Real Talk, but I don’t think it’ll go down, GSW could get more for a player of Ellis caliber.

Michael.S.ParticipantWhy you gotta call me funny looking?

JNixonParticipantYea, I heard rumors of the Warriors trying to deal Jackson and Ellis to Dallas. I think it would be something to the effect of:
Dallas gets: Jackson and Ellis
Golden State gets: Josh Howard and JJ Barea.0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 11:48am #208677

dmo21Participanti dont really see that trade going down because the warriors are not getting enough in return and dallas will have a lot of players for a small forward unless you have jackson, marion, and dirk as your big 3 and kidd and ellis as your guards… would be a good run and gun team but i really dont see g state trading ellis right now when he hasnt really had time to prove himself after his contract, but i did hear about Jackson wanting out of the bay area, and i thought of a trade idea for him going to the nets, but its just an idea and not anything getting talked about… i thought jackson and law for yi, battie, and t-will would be a fair trade

JNixonParticipantYi and T-Will? Nah nah nah…that would be a one sided deal. At least the Dallas deal replaces (to an extent) what they traded.

dmo21Participantso when jackson leaves there will be no small forward on golden state? how about maggette, randolph, azubuike, wright, and george who are all on the team right now that play that position. the warriors are stacked with wings and need some mobile big men(yi and battie) to help out biedrins, turiaf, and the newly acquired mikki moore who are the only centers/power forwards on the team. Also, williams will be great for this team because coach nelson loves his point forwards who do everything on the court(like Stephen Jackson)

gatorheelsParticipantIf the Warriors trade Jackson &or Ellis all they would want back is expiring contracts which is why they would love to get Josh Howard. Once Howards’ contract expires they would probably just let him leave which would result in Golden State having a lot of cap space for 2010 free agency.

JNixonParticipantTerrence Williams is a SF and you included him as well.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 12:43pm #208724

gatorheelsParticipantDallas has a ton of expiring contracts. A trade could easily be worked out. It really comes down to if the Mavs really even want Ellis &or Jackson.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 12:44pm #208726

dmo21Participantso whats that prove? one rookie sf pushes it over the limit? and he is different, he is a point forward(if you no what that is) which works perfect for the warrior system and can learn the system behind these guys before her perfects it in a couple years
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 12:45pm #208727

dmo21Participantya.. what will dallas do with kidd (who is the starting pg) and ellis ( who wants to play point guard). Also they will have marion and jackson at sf, but i think one of them can easily play pf, but that pushes dirk down to center and thats kinda weak
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 1:05pm #208753

JNixonParticipantI mean you said they have alot of SF’s, and then named them. And after all of that you included a SF (Terrence Williams) in your trade after shooting my trade down because I added a SF. You shot down my idea to include the exact same thing you shot me down about.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 1:07pm #208756

dmo21Participanti shot your deal down because the best player coming out of it (howard) plays a position that is already stuffed full with capable players (maggette) and rising stars (randolph). and your deal did not help out their big man depth problem which i think they have
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 1:25pm #208767

JNixonParticipantRandolph would be a PF, and who knows if Maggette will even last the season as a member of the Warriors.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 1:40pm #208775

dmo21Participanttheres a lot of ifs, if randolph plays pf, if maggette is still on team.. i just think for team development my trade would work, but if they want expiring contracts your trade would work.
