In an unlikely story, Bost is eligible. He kept his name in the draft after the deadline, and said he didn’t know. The NCAA has granted him a 2nd chance, and he’ll suit up for the Bulldogs (who I would’ve included in my Countdown to the Season had I known he’d be eligible). Mississippi State will be a solid team when Bost and Sidney take the floor together, as they already have some good players in the SEC (Ravern Johnson and Kodi Augustus), but they probably will have struggles both in the 1st 10 games of the season and when Bost and Sidney finally get in the lineup together at 1st. I look for them to be a 1-and-done or 2 and out tourny team by the end of the year.
To give an idea of how Bost plays, think of a poor mans version of Brandon Jennings. He’s very flashy, quick, a nice shooter, and he likes to make plays for himself and others. He’s also a little wild though. I think he’s a sleeper 2011 or (likely) 2012 prospect.

durantula83ParticipantI really hope he and Sidney will stick together for the next two seasons. I love Bost, but I don’t see him going in the first round unless he can elevate his game substantially. Sidney, with all the talent he’s got, could become a lottery pick when it’s all said and done.
