I was thinking if Minny could delevope a Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins backcourt it would be amazing to see. Both of them would be something so special if they can delevope with each other.

A 6-5 PG and a 6-8 SG. Both can jump out of the gym. LaVine can shoot it from deep. Easy for them to take over games.

 No way are they looking to make Lavine a PG with Rubio in town, not until they see how Rubio plays with him. If does end up coming in and carving out a starting spot I’d expect him to be a scoring combo ala Jamaal Crawford, but he’s a ways off being a nightly contributor, even on a team like Minny.

Save this and repost it in a few years. It might be very difficult to neg you then.  Vast potential in both these guys. LaVine looked great as a PG in SL. Moving Rubio for more picks/assets shouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities.

If Martin get’s dealt at some point after the Love deal it opens up more time for a guy like Lavine. Definetly a ‘league pass team’ to watch.

Lavine over Rubio???? You crazy Rubio is the one gonna be making lavine look good with all them lob passes he’s about to throw to him and andrew. So i would rethink and edit my post.

I can’t wait to see all this young guys playing and to watch how their athleticism comes out. It’s going to be a bumpy road at first, but it should get fun after they figure it out.
Flip was the coach when KG was a rookie and he brought him along slow. I expect something like that to happen with some of these younger players like Wiggins and Lavine also

 I see LaVine playing the 6th man….atleast till he is proven more. I believe lavine will be the starting 2 guard in the near future. He will never be a true point guard, his game will be coming off screens and transition buckets.

 im a fan of lavine and think he is gonna be a steal, but it will be a few years. People saying he will be immediate excitment are underestimating nba level defense. And lavine pretty much had zero highlights where he facialized someone in college becasue he was paper soft attacking the basket vs defenders. ANd i didnt see anything in the 3 summer league games i watched from him that suddenly suggests he will banging on guys now. He needs to get stronger both physically and mentally otherwise the only times we will get to enjoy that ahtleticism is when he is on a fast break. He floarts away from defense instead of attacking it.
