The New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets have agreed in principle on a three-way trade that will send Terrence Williams to Houston, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic and a 2012 first-round pick from Houston will go to New Jersey. Nets forward Joe Smith will join the Lakers, who also will send their 2011 first-round pick to New Jersey. The deal can’t be finalized until Wednesday, the first day Smith and other free agents who signed in the summer can be traded.

I understand the Lakers end. They save $4 million in salary and another $4 million in tax. That is $8 million for a pick they don’t want. Good job. Plus, Joe Smith gives Phil the additional big he wants. What is Houston doing? How far have they fallen from two years ago when they looked like as smart an organization as anyone. Now, they want to turn it into bum central. Maybe that foolish Anthony Randolph for a first rounder has some credence. It only takes one dummy. Good for New Jersey. They are still bad, but down one bum with two picks with which to help fix the problem. Sasha better watch his back. The boss might be angling for his girl.

Throw in T-Will & we’re crazy stacked at the Wings, it could be a move that’ll help get a bigger star i.e. Melo.
I’ve always been a fan of T-Will since his sophomore year at Louisville.

What do you mean bad for Houston?  Terrence Williams is a very good player, why are people knocking on the guy?  If we were able to deal with Ron Artest, why not TWill? 

He has a lot of potential and along with Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill, Scola, Brooks, Courtney Lee, Kyle Lowry, and Patrick Patterson.. They can make very good role players for potential stars to come to, we will have about 20mil to spend this offseason and after we resign Battier, we’ll have a good 16mil.  And as a Rockets fan, I would really hope they make a run at Melo if he’s available at seasons end.  If not Melo, atleast Thad Young and Kendrick Perkins.

It has gotten him a job in the NBA and made him a lot of money, but he doesn’t help a team that wants to compete with the top teams in the West. He is an even less skilled verion of Chuck Hayes, and Sam Dalembert is the 7’1" version of Evans. Neither makes the team better. A healthy Yao Ming makes Houston better, but that is why resigning him will cost a lot of money. Because of the health risk, it is a gamble. If they think that they can compete for something anytime soon, they’ll sign Yao and go for it with a short deck of players who either don’t play defense or aren’t professional enough to show up on time. If not, they are going to let him and be a bad team for a number of years while people think Terrence Williams is good while he is launching up shots when the team is down fifteen points.
