    http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2013/06/25/source-bobcats-shopping-kidd-gilcrest-to-draft-otto-porter/

This is crazy! I always thought Kidd-Gilchrist wasn’t as good as people thought but giving up after 1 year is crazy, is Otto Porter better? I think he won’t be. Kidd-Gilchrist is still only like 19-20. He’s a jump shot away. They feel they can draft Otto Porter and get someone else then draft Porter because they believe the Wizards will draft Bennett.

Is this another bad Michael Jordan decision? I don’t think Rich Cho would be that dumb.

Just more evidence of Jordan being terrible I wish their was someway he could come to New Orleans without us trading or pick or our core guys I mean just think of Ad and mkg together again get on the phone pelicans.
Offer maybe Grevis Vasquez robin Lopez and a future pick for MKG and draft Burke at 6
    PG BURKE
    SG GORDAN
    SF KIDD
    PF ANDERSON
    C DAVIS
But they may ask for Gordan or Ryan ANDERSON

Just the fact that this is a rumor shows how inept and uncertain the Bobcats as a franchise are. MKG puts his heart and soul into every game he plays, and you need players like that to succeed in the NBA. While he might never reach his full potential because of that hitch in his shot, I still think it’s ridiculous to even consider trading him for a player who hasn’t proven jack yet. I would love to see MKG in a Celtics uni like the article suggests.

After reading the sheridan article I couldn’t help but laugh at the “MKG for Barnes” piece. The Bobcats are a complete joke sometimes.

GSW is not going to trade Barnes for MKG straight up. I don’t think they would trade him for anybody outside of the top 15 players in the league.

I’m not buying this. Last year all we heard was that Jordan was in love with MKG. Not even Jordan would be dumb enough to give up on a developing sf just take in another with less upside. Keep in mind that MKG is younger than Porter, too

MKG is 3 months younger but he appears behind Porter from a development standpoint. The reason being is Porter can make jumpshots….They both project as elite wing defenders and although MKG is stronger and slightly more athletic Porter appears to be more talented to me.

I still don’t think this will happen but I am very high on Porter and if I am MJ I would at least consider this deal.

If I’m the Wizards I would trade them the third pick for MKG. I’m not very high on Porter and I like MKG’s upside a lot more.

Can someone please explain why, apparently, the Bobcats are so willing to give up on MKG after one friggin season?? Im sorry but Im hearing so many stories pop up about him being moved lately. I hope this is just some smokescreen that gets blown out soon.

It blows my mind that a guy as legendary/competitive as MJ just doesn’t have the chops as an owner. Did he not hire Rich Cho to make personnel decisions for the Bobcats? Why give up on a guy you drafted 2nd overall last year? Lets look at their previous draft picks over the past few seasons:

2006 – Adam Morrison #3 overall – Injury aside, I think that Adam Morrison was a silly pick, sure he killed the rest of the NCAA that year, but he never had the right skill set

2007 – Brendan Wright #8 overall – Was it because he was a UNC guy as well? Who cares, plenty of talent available at that pick

2008 – DJ Augustin #9 – Not a terrible pick, but it never worked out, Augustin was undersized and not a “pure” pg
    2008 – Alexis Ajinca #20 – Ummmmmm what?

He also went on to trade for Bismack Biyombo in 2011 (smh)

C’mon MJ, step aside, and let your team develop, enjoy your retirement and the paychecks that would follow if you let your team win. (LOVE you as a PLAYER though!!! GOAT)

Its ok jordan will not make this trade. Intead he will draft Brandon Jefferies with the #4 pick.

I still think that’s a premature statement. Barnes played on a team that courted a legit center in Bogut, an amazing front-court rotation, and a PF who scores around 20 points a game. Barnes was literally the 6th option on a playoff team, and while he looked good in the playoffs, it wasn’t like he was leading the Warriors.

MKG on the other hand is playing on one of the least talented teams i’ve seen in years, and still put up solid numbers. He played great defense, and showed the drive to improve as one of the youngest players in the league. If MKG had the team that Barnes did, I assure you, we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now. He is a value glue-guy on a team that has no pieces to stick together.Give these guys more time
