The Miami Heat are trying to get Demarcus Cousins. I tried to do a trade that was Demarcus for Whiteside, Luol Deng, Udonis Haslem on the ESPN trade finder and it worked. I think this trade can happen if Miami gives away a pick because the Kings would get a great Center in Hassan Whiteside, a decent Small Forward in Luol Deng that is in an expiring contract and a great backup Power Foward in Udonis Haslem that has an expiring contract. With the pick the Kings could build around Cauley-Stein, Rondo and Mclemore and Rudy Gay, and if they wanted they could sign Whiteside back.

Whiteside will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and while he was originally drafted and played for the Kings, I highly doubt they would trade Cousins in a package centered around him knowing he could sign anywhere this summer. Deng is a free agent as well. And Haslem being called a "great backup power forward" is just comical. Really don’t see a trade with the Heat working unless Justise Winslow, Tyler Johnson, 1st round picks , or a third team are involved.

I haven’t heard this rumor, but something tells me the Kings aren’t going to let Boogie go easily.

A sign and trade for Whiteside (on a max), Winslow and a 1st rounder is a pretty decent offer to be honest.

But…both sides probably still say no.

Heat traded away most of their picks, mainly to the Suns, so all they have is Winslow as an asset.

Cousins, Bosh, Green/Deng, Wade, Dragic, it might be enough to win now.  Kings get Winslow and a bunch of ending deals, and maybe the Heat can trade a 2023 pick or something far away.

Kings don’t need Whiteside or Deng, they won’t be able to sign them to new deals.

Kings can probably get better pieces from other teams though, as Miami just doesn’t have the young players and picks that other teams do.

In theory sounds like a good trade option for the heat, but in relaity they would have to give up too many assets and wouldnt be left with any bench players or money to sign any decent players. I like the idea and the fit, but to make it happen most likley third team has to be brought into the mix.
