ExumInfernoParticipantWill Memphis make the playoffs without Gasol, Portland might be the team to get in which would be a surprise after their offseason where most players left.
Will Memphis blow it up, with Randolph old and Conley a free agent?
Grizzlies also have traded away two first rounders, so they could be looking at a long rebuild.

Hype MachineDamn…a broken foot is the 7 footers death knock. That sucks cos Marc Gasol is one of my favourite players.
Hopefully its one of the bones that heals ok…
I dont think Memphis is a team that wants to bottom out ever. Theyre a professional organisation that I expect to bounce back, at least to mediocrity.
I know people in here dont believe theres honour in being a middle-of-the-road team…but Memphis wont tank for draft picks if Conley leaves and Gasol stays out.
Theyre a community team who will try win every game for their fans.

r377ParticipantThey are 30-22, so 8 games over .500. They will prob look at acquiring a veteran big man, plus Brandan Wright should be back after the break…..
I can see them still trying to get into the playoffs

The GoatParticipantI think it is a very good opportunity to trade for draft picks and/or young players that are still developing or havent had the opportunity to have regular NBA minutes. The young players would be in a position to play meaningful games they arent expected to win without Gasol, maybe even a playoff series, then they come back next year bigger and better. Partial rebuild and you wouldnt have to waste a season doing it. You Im sure there are some forgotten or languishing players on rosters that may be gettable and have more to show if they get a chance (think Archie Goodwin prior to his recent extended PT).

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantIf Larry Sanders is serious about making a comeback it might be worth a shot for Memphis on a non-guaranteed deal. What would really be the harm at this point?
