Andrew1984ParticipantTake your favorite NBA team, estimate about how they would fare this season and where they might draft in June 2012, and who you would want them to select based on a reasonable projection of who might be available at that pick.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantAssuming they made no moves, I think the Jazz would have been a 29-53 team this year. They are clearly set down low for the future with Favors and Kanter and the organization really likes Hayward at either SG or SF. I am a huge Alec Burks fan (the top SG in the ’11 draft alongside Klay Thompson), so that leaves PG as the clear position where they don’t have a potential franchise guy. Devin Harris will be fine for the last two years on his deal but he’s not the guy for a rebuilding franchise.
I would love for them to draft Marquis Teague. I think he would fit in perfectly and inject limitless up tempo energy that even D-Will couldn’t match. He’s not as skilled overall but I love his quickness, athleticism, motor and overall game. I think he’d be great for them in the 5-10 area.

chevilicousParticipant^ I’ll go for the same team, but go for Myck Kabongo who can play effectively in either up tempo situations or in the half court. Incredible pass first PG with great speed, who also brings allot of character and charisma to a very young team in need of a voice and idenity.

iguapops420ParticipantLAL, I’m guessing somewhere around 24-26. Probably a guy like Doron Lamb or William Buford to play the Sasha role as a shooter who can backup or play off of the KGB(Kobe,Gasol,Bynum)and LO. My personal choice would be Will Barton though as he has a swag and skill level that would be a nice change up in LAL.

Kinguy11ParticipantOK, I’m going to do this assuming there is 50 games this season.
I’d expecd The LA Clippers to go about 22-28 which should put them in the 10-14 lottery range because they are in the west. Also, the Clippers have the T-wolves pick and I expect the Timberwolves to go about 8-32 which should give them a likely chance of a top 3 pick.
Overall, with their pick I think the clippers should draft Harrison Barnes/Jeremy Lamb/Andre Drumond with the wolves pick.
With their pick if they don’t draft Barnes they Have Perry Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Terrence Jones to draft with this pick. If they do draft barnes though, they should go with good PG like Myck Kabago, Kendall Marshal or Josh Turner how can develop bhind Mo Willliams until Mo moves on.

joecheck88ParticipantIm not gonna guess their record. Steve Nash a whole season then 10-14 Nash some of the season(5-10).
So in the 5 to 10 range- Perry Jones
10-14 range- Myck Kabongo

JaeEvolutionParticipantHawks anywhere from 18-21 and I would hope they would be looking at solely big men or a replacement wing for Marvin Williams so I’m going to say DeWayne Dedmon or maybe a Kris Joseph.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantPerry Jones-6’11 sf/pf…i’m hoping we get this guy in the 2012 Draft…he’d be a good repalcement to either Iggy and Thad at Sf or Elton Brand and Marresse Speights at Pf(where I think he plays most his minutes in the NBA)

rhamnlacsonParticipantharrison barnes is going to be an amazing addition to the jhon wall, jan vesley, javale mcgee run and gun team while perry jones would be in my mind a great replacement for the lacking of a guy named stephen jackson in the bobcats line up plus workin g with a guy named jordan would be agreat thing for anyone of this guys

OhCanada-ParticipantActaully Rhamnlacson Jordan is actaully a bit of an arse…
Toronto Raptors
1st to 3rd Overall
Andre Drummond
There are plenty of players who are capable of being Top 3 prospects in this years draft when all the smoke clears and drat day is upon us. The reason I can confidently say I would choose Drummond is due to his gigantic size and even more impressive athletic abillity. Along with that he rebounds well, has a good skill level which will develop in time, and good defensive instincts. Trading Bargnani and having main rotation of Drummond, Davis and Valanciunas would be a very solid, young, defensive core for any basketball team. You can never pass up on size either.
Davis seems like he will be a very versatile PF in the league for years to come. Davis is a very active player with amazing speed for his hieght, and a nice feel for the game despite his akward build. It seems like he is the type of kid willing to work hard and improve. With some added wieght, and post moves he could be one heck of a player although Toronto already has two very lanky frontcourt defenders who possess all of Davis’s defensive features. Anthony has a much better offensive upside than Ed or Jonas, but those are two lottery picks selected to play that role. Having a third player with a similar role on the defensive side of the court would not be as effective as bringing in someone who is 6’11 270 to gaurd the post.
Most of the prolific scorers on the lottery draft radars are pretty one dimensional offensive players. It is not very hard to find someone who will score the ball in the NBA, finding a player Drummonds size with that abillity cannot be passed on.
Either way many players have 1st overall potential and anyone of them could just breakout and assume the position anytime.
Drummond, Davis, Lamb,Barnes, Jones, Miller, Wroten, wow this is going to be fun.

r377ParticipantPistons take Kidd-Gilchrist with a late lotto pick, he takes a season or two to learn from Prince….

rileymcshea3ParticipantWell my team is the Mavs and hopefully Kendall Marshal can drop down to them and would be good down the rode learning from Jason Kidd and be the future Pg because idk about Roddy anymore
BUT since the Mavs are so late ill pick the Kings and would have to say Sullinger would be great with 2 big guys that you can feed the rock to downlow and just find a way to score and Sullinger could be the leader and get this team in a winning attitude

omphalosParticipantI honestly think the best fit for my favourite prospect in Kidd-Gilchrist is the Toronto Raptors. He’s shown flashes of being a point forward in his first couple of games with Kentucky, and brings a ridiculous amount of intangibles. He doesn’t need a whole lot of shots which makes him the perfect complement for DeRozan on the wing, and his defensive capabilities will make him a favourite with Coach Casey.
As much as I love Barnes as a player, Kidd-Gilchrist just strikes me as a better fit.
