Me and my roommates are arguing which big man would you want on your team? we are all from the twin cities, chicago and milwaukee, so we are all biased…

you can discuss why you chose who based on: overall scoring ability, defensive presence, potential, athletic ability, etc.

If i was starting a team..It’ll be Love

    1.he’s more marketable

2.he’s among the greatest rebounders of all time

3.his inside/outside game and passing skills

If i already had 2 other all star caliber players it’ll be Noah, you shouldnt try to build a team around him..but his love for the game and all out hustle is something every team should have…

Bogut is not a franchise type player…..he’s more like a 2nd option type player…

     Noah, easily

The best defender of the three, love his tenacity, great stamina and durability, doesn’t need touches to get his.

Bogut but i think they are all pretty close. Love cant play center so that hurts his status since go to post presences are hard to come by. Noah needs to be on a team with starsd so he can do all the little things. SO if you have stars, then maybe him but any young franchise should probably put him last.

    I’d take Bogut.

Bogut’s biggest con is his health. When healthy he is a far better offensive player than Noah and a far better defensive player than Love. He is a true center just entering his prime that can average about 16 PPG, 10+ RPG and 2.5 BPG.

Love is a phenominal rebounder, a good passer and has a decent mid range game. But Bogut is a good rebounder in his own right, better in the low post and is way better on the defensive end.

Noah brings great energy, defensive tenacity and can run the floor. But he is not an impact player in terms of scoring like Bogut.

It pretty much goes by team need. Very good offense, bad defense or good offense, good defense or okay offense/very good defense. Personally I’ll take Bogut.

When was the last time Bogut hit a 3? Its hard to take Love over Bogut but I probally would pick Love. He is the best rebounder in the game in a long time, and has an outside shot not many 10-rpg guys have. Boguts big man presence is hard to pass up thou. Both players are great passers, Love has advantages in rebounding and range, Bogut has a defensive presence and post presence advantage.

I can’t beleive all you people are actually saying Bogut.  I love Bogut and he is my second choice because he is such a strong defensive post player.  But Love is outright dominant.  Especially if you are talking about building your team from scratch.  Love has had his best games this year against the best teams.  And Love’s best games this year dwarf Bogut or Noahs best games.  The guy is averaging 21 and 16 right now in like 32 minutes and is only 22!!! That’s insane not to mention his passing ability.

And Love can play center and does so often.

Bogut has never averaged over 15 points a game and has only played in over 70 games once in the same season since his rookie year.  I am a Bogut fan too and argued for a whole month that Bogut would and should be the number one pick in that draft with my roomate.  But to take him over Love is insane.  Love is only 22 what do you think his numbers are going to look like when he is 27?

noah or bogut was a better question. the answer is bogut, then noah, then love. i might take love over some other smaller power forwards like boozer, millsap, or brand. but honestly, if i was building a team love would not be in my top 5 for a pickup. hes a good player but all i have is a sample from a bad team plus i know he cant guard the dirks, stoudemires, gasols, griffins, and the list is even longer. and alot of guys cant guard them but ill take my chances with a 6 10 pf over 6 8 unathletic k love. sorry love fans.

"When was the last time Bogut hit a 3?"

What does that have to do with anything?

"I am a Bogut fan too and argued for a whole month that Bogut would and should be the number one pick in that draft with my roomate. But to take him over Love is insane. Love is only 22 what do you think his numbers are going to look like when he is 27?"

It’s not insane at all to take a 7’0 foot defensive presence who scores pretty well, rebounds and passes well, and who blocks shots over a guy who rebounds and scores, but is a HUGE reason why the T’Wolves are one of the worst teams in the NBA due to porous defense. Kevin Love is just like any player who puts up stats on a bad team and doesn’t play defense. He’s not a championship piece IMO. Definitely not more so than Bogut is. I’d easily take a big man like Bogut over him. Love puts up gaudy numbers, but on a title team, is he even a starter?

I love Bogut, but he is injury prone and that is what concerns me. So first I would go Noah, then Bogut, and last but certainly not least Love. I love K-Love as a 4, just not as a center.

jnixon summed it up just right. u can take points away from all of us that said bogut, but there is a reason so many of us picked him. the only issue with bogut is injuries but when he is healthy he probably a top 3 center in the league. noah is all hustle which is a good thing but you know he is gonna have those nights where he only gets like 5 points and 7 boards. and k love is an undersized 4 that puts up great numbers on a horrible team. and they are horrible in part that love is a horrible defender. he is a good player but if you seriously want to win a championship, love wont be your starting 4.

Bogut – 7 foot center who averaged 21 points, 15 rebounds and 3.5 blocks in his last 5 games

Noah – 6’11 center with an ugly jumper and more of an energy guy, has averaged 10, 10 and 2 in the last 5 games

K Love – 6’10 power forward, he can rebound great and score but he’s a powerforward, easier to find than a center

    1. Bogut (most underated center in the league)

    2. Love (most underated in the league)

    3. Noah (most overated center in the league)

You gotta love Bogut because he’s a true 7" center and blocks some shots. But i put him second. Im takin K Love. He’s only 22 or 23, and he’s averaging 20 and 15! I know its on a bad team but forget the scoring, the rebounds dont lie. Noah’s a really good player but he would go 3 on this list.

Bargnai, and Dwight are the only centers who average 20 +

Interestingly, Love touched 11′ 9" at the NBA draft combine, which is very respectable. B. Griffen only touched a little higher at 11′ 11". Bogut touched 12′ 0" but he is much taller than both of those guys.

Seriously, Noah is a great guy for any team. (And as I mentioned in another post, I met him after a Bulls game at a bar about a week ago.) But he can’t score and has no jump shot. Those are big problems. Now the Bulls have had a lot of high skill scorers for several years now (Rose, Gordon, Hinrich, Deng and now Boozer), so it hasn’t been too much of a problem. But Noah can’t carry the team anywhere. He can just compliment. I’d take Bogut as a Center who can score and defend over either of them. There are two few guys who can do that. Bogut has been hurt, but the elbow injury was just a freak accident, so I don’t hold that against him. Now if Love is averaging 20 and 16 by the end of the season, I will change my mind and say that he is just too special to pass up for even Bogut. And don’t get me started again about what if Love does 20 and 16 for a few years in a row.

I want Kevin Love over the other two. He’s the youngest and I believe the other two (Noah,Bogut) has reached their peak, while Love (still 22yrs old) is still evolving as a player and hasn’t reached his full potential considering his age.
