    Lopez to have surgery on broken footComment Email Print Share Associated Press

    PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns center Robin Lopez will have surgery to repair a broken bone in his left foot and is expected to miss six to eight weeks.

    Lopez broke his fifth metatarsal — the long bone on the outside of his foot that connects to the little toe — in the second half of the team’s intrasquad scrimmage Saturday in San Diego.

    Team officials say the procedure to insert a screw in Lopez’s foot will be performed Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix.

    Lopez, picked 15th by the Suns in 2008, averaged 3 points and 2 rebounds in 60 games as a rookie last season.

    Dang. That is a huge blow to the Suns depth at C. He was really the only C they had.

    well……………..he seems cool but he is the Taylor Griffin to Brooks, Robin, which sucks

    Robin is not as bad as yall think, he just lacks offensive skills but his defense is on point and he is actually the most athletic of the two which mean ones he gains so more skills he could very well be a better NBA player than his brother.
