When was the last time Adam Morrison went for 30 points on any level of basketball?

The former Gonzaga Bulldog has been making waves in the European game since joining KK Crvena Zvezda (a.k.a. Red Star Belgrade). Morrison’s most recent effort wasn’t against just any bunch of slouchers, either: The long-locked one totaled his 30 on 12-of-19 overall shooting in a 101-93 Adriatic League loss to Euroleague side Union Olimpija. After three games, the ex-Zag is averaging 18.7 points per game, good for fifth-best in ABA ball thus far.

Below runs the highlight reel from the Olimpija game, just in case this sounds too unbelievable to be true.

that’s not his first good game with belgrade….

morrison is made to dominate in europe : less physical (he can play the 4th at times and post), better coaching and less iso play, plenty of systems play for him…

great to see him back with self confidence and trust from his coach !!!

Give Morrison an inch or two height advantage and put him in a system that is ridiculously focused on "team play" where he can run off screens all day…. he is a great international player. He just can’t guard NBA athletes.

It’s good to see him playing good, some guys are just better for the Europe game.

Yep he looks a lot taller than the guys who are trying to guard him on a bunch of those plays. He still has a kind of ugly shot and even against guys who don’t look like NBA caliber defenders, he seems to be stuck taking a lot of pretty hard shots when he has to create for himself. Fun video to watch but nothing there that makes me think he should be coming back to the NBA anytime soon.
