Minnesota wouldn’t take him. Wesley Johnson is better, so is Brewer. And he’s not on the same planet as Beas.

I don’t know. It’s early and he is seeing a different level of competition on a regular basis. He needs to find where he can be the most effective. I would give him a little more time. Out of the lottery might be a mistake if it happens. I like Perry Jones more than him always have.

 I don’t think you realize that this site does not project the picks based on how the team is, or team needs. They base the picks on standings of the rookies right now. So even though this site has Barnes going to Minny, that does not mean that he will go there. It just means that Barnes is #2 in the draft right now according to this site’s rankings. Because it is so early in the season, there is no possible way to predict how the lottery will turn out. Once the season is close to being over then we have a more general idea of where teams will pick and we will also know what team needs are, thus helping us decide which players go where.

I definitely Barnes should be lower, but I think this site does not want to put Barnes lower than 2 because they know Barnes potential is very high. He may never show what he can truly do on the court because the UNC system does not allow him too. So in UNC system he does not look too good. But I bet you if Barnes were playing in a system that matches his style, than he would probably dominate and show just how much potential he really has. You see Barnes is the kind of player that will play within the system that the coach prescribes. Not above and certainly not below it, no matter how much weaker it may make him look. He is the complete team player, and sometimes this type of play diminishes how good you may look.

How many times have you actually seen Barnes play maybe 4 times this year and the Mcdonalds All American game and maybe tons of highlights but most of  you are going by what the so called experts say. If you are going by his play not a top pick he has had the chance to showcase his skills this year and hasn’t done it at all. If you are going by potential their are a lot of 6’8 G/F’s out their who can do a little bit of everything and have done something already. I have nothing against him at all but from what all of us have seen he hasn’t done anything to have such loyalty among everyone here. He could easily go number one if he plays at an elite level against the top competition he will face.
