Just watched the andre the giant doco. He was famous in the 70s and early 80s, by the time everyone saw him in WWF he was past his prime.

Just thinking of day to day for these big guys.  Andre like most wrestlers at the time were never paid big bucks and would often spend 300+ days a year on the road working / travelling from show to show.

Now, think of the size of Andre he had to travel by coach or by plane.  He spent alot of time in Japan (small people) he had to sleep in regular bed and use regualr bathrooms.  Toilets were so small he had to use the bath !!  Because of his size, ppl use to stare and sometimes snicker or joke about him.

What other problems do 7 footers have ?  Can’t buy sportscars, bathroom, beds, clothes. Even regular things like washing dishes, vacuuming etc would be difficult due to their size

Had serious blood clotting issues whenever he travelled long distances. Scary stuff… I’ve had clotting before, but he had serious problems anytime he travelled by plane or bus since he doesn’t have the money to charter anything himself. Even business class was rough for him. He is 7 feet even.

My friendl Hank hates being asked if he is a basketball player. Hates it. But he 7 foot 1, so he will get it the rest of his life. I told him to just say yeah, but not tell them his name. Leave it a mystery. Oh, he has never played ball competitively.

The taller you are, sadly, the harder your heart has to work to pump blood throughout your body. A lot of the great 7-footers in basketball history have died at relatively young ages.

Being 7’8 myself, I can tell you chicks fantasize about… ahem… well, the size of some part of my body. The issue is that after a few months, they realize that ironing those huge shirts and pants isn’t much fun. Like Wilt, I’ve had sex with thousands of women, but never married for that very reason.

Who would have thought 3 of my ex-lovers had a Nbadraft account?

Well, now that I think of it, it’s statistically unsuprising. The Law of large numbers, they call it.

It’s a pity your girlfriend believes the exact opposite!

The documentary was very interesting if it is the one I’m thinking of and a lot of NBA players would/will have similar issues to what Andre had. I’m not gouing to get into a full debate about his billed height but he was legit over 7ft at his biggest. Photos of him next to Wilt are on line to prove this. Also Andre weighed over 500lbs which is double the majority of NBA players and even well over 100lbs than Shaq at his biggest. So Andre had all that bulk to carry around. He needed two plane seats and may not have got first class travel in his earlier days.

Even as a top star he may have not made the money early in his career but did make good  money from mid 1970’s onwards.

Teams in the NBA will of course cater for their larger players especially on road trips and I’m sure the top colleges have bespoke beds for the big guys. But life for someone that size does throw up issues.

well i am personally 6 foot 11 so i am close. if my back was not so messed up i would be well over 7 foot. some issues i face is well the world is not meant for people my size. i hit my head a lot, even things like a bump in the road can cause neck pain as my head hits the roof. its hard to fit into cars. things like counter tops are never high enough. getting something off a low shelf is super hard. back pain is a major issue as is knee pain. my feet always hang off beds so that can be hard on the joints too. showering can be hard. i have heart issues. i am always seen as a freak in public. seriously if you see a tall person dont ask if they play basketball. i have to order a lot of clothes online. shoes are hard to find too. getting drunk is hard lol. people always tell me they wish they were tall, let me tell you its not something i would wish for. i know the taller guys have it even harder than me.

I know these guys are trolls but being a 7 footer, sex must be hard for real sometimes for real. It’s like Shaq and his tiny GF, I just don’t get how they do it.
