There’s always rumors of the lottery being rigged. Chicago getting a native to the city in Rose, New York gets Ewing in the lottery conspiracy of 1985, Cleveland gets the Ohio native LeBron, Cleveland gets Kyrie after LeBron leaves, NOLA gets Davis after the league sells the team, Wizards get Wall after their owner dies, you get the point.

In the next 2 seasons what would be some good stories where people would be calling out for conspiracy like they do every single year.

    My ideas:

Orlando get the #1 pick in 2013 as a consolation for sending Dwight to LA for pennys on the dollar
Phoenix gets a top 3 pick in 2013 to replace Steve Nash
Philadelphia gets a top 3 pick in 2013 because they received a broken product in Bynum
Toronto gets the #1 pick in 2014 to draft Wiggins, to bring canadian basketball marketing to a new level
Charlotte gets the #2 pick in 2014 to draft Parker, a Duke product meant to bring Carolina pro basketball out of the depths of hell
Seattle gets the #1 pick in 2014 as reparations for the new team being brought over from Sacramento (Sorry Kings fans)

These are just for fun, and there always seems to be a story behind why Stern fixed the draft on any particular year.

Minnesota gets the #1 pick in 2015 when Kevin Love whines his way off the team and goes to LA…hey, a guy can dream, right?

Yeah right, like Mitch Kupchak couldn’t somehow pull off that trade for Sacre and a second round pick. That man is a wizard.

I bet he has some serious personal dirt on GM’s that he uses as blackmail in making some of the trades he does. There’s no other logical explanation, lol

Jerry Buss passes away, Mitch Kupchak is exposed to be a hologram that was controlled by Jerry. The hologram formerly known as Mitch Kupchak being exposed as a fraud after he starts making choices without Jerry makes many many trade blunders rendering the Lakers bottom dwellers. After being fired and getting side work being John Malkovics body double(after shaving his head). The Lakers win the 2016 NBA draft number one pick, picking the grandson of the late great Sam Bowie.

Call me crazy but I think Toronto makes the Playoffs next year..so Wiggins will not be with the Raptors. The Bucks will lose Brandon Jennings, Hawks lose Josh Smith. Raptors could be a 500 team next year and get the 7th or 8th seed.

After Kobe retiered at the age of 46 (last season 29,5,5), Lakers get #1 overall. Lol

I’m assuming Bulls (via Charlotte) get No.1 in 2016. The draft is supposedly rigged for the Bulls, and clearly hates Charlotte.

As a Bobcats fan this scenario makes me want to throw up. I can’t think of something worse.

Then draft Joel Embiid or Malik Newman.

The Sixers ping pong balls land them the 3rd spot and take Nerlens Noel. He rehabs but only starts to play over midway through the season. The Sixers can’t score or stop teams from scoring in 2014. They finish with the worst record in the league. They win the lottery and with the first pick in the 2014 NBA Draft the Philadelphia 76ers select Andrew Wiggins Small Forward out of Florida State….then I wake up.

And I believe they’d draft Shabazz Mohammed to pair up with Holiday, hopefully Turner gets traded for a 2014 draft pick and they add another pick in the loaded draft, hopefully they suck next year and trade Turner to a team that sucks just as much, They draft Jalil Okafor and Jabari Parker with back to back top 5 picks and get the 76ers back on the front page…Of course this couldn’t even happen in NBA2K13 but a guy can dream cant he?

Shabazz at # 1 isn’t likely. The Sixers need a scorer but if they got the first pick I would take McLemore. He is the scoring SG they have needed since AI was traded. Nick Young and J-Rich can get hot but they aren’t cutting the mustard. I think McLemore could work well with Holiday and Turner since he doesn’t need the ball in his hands much to score since he has such a sweet stroke and great athleticism. I would love to see this happen but in typical Philly fashion it won’t.

I def dont think so, I honestly feel like Shabazz is going to go James Harden on us in the NBA, Ben will be very solid but Shabazz is going to be a more dynamic scorer, Ben will be a catch and shoot guy, why not draft a player with bigger upside when that player was ranked so high before the start of the college season, injuries happen, guys miss shots, and sometimes a player doesnt meet our expectations right away, but every bit of Shabazz’s game screams James Harden when he was with the ASU Sun Devils, I think the 76ers would be better off with Mohammed personally, but we can agree they do need a scorer at Sg and a Pf/C too

Shabazz plays nothing like Harden. Harden is a pure shot creator for himself and others. His handles were really advanced for a Freshman and his game was alot more smooth. Shabazz has like 25 assists all season. A good chunk of his points come from putbacks and in transition.

I apologize but I’m just not seeing this huge upside in Muhammad.

if the nba draft is really rigged, this year it wouldn’t matter. they would take a year off of rigging it. picks one through fourteen are pretty close. it wouldn’t even be worth rigging.
