bluedevils12ParticipantIm kind of tired of people putting players who are past their prime on top 10 lists. Like i jus read a post of the top 30 pgs in the league and jason kidd was like #7. Seriously? Jason Kidd hasnt been good since his last season in Jersey. Honestly in my opinion he hasnt been a factor in dallas at all. Dallas got no better making that trade 4 kidd. Is kidd really better than Rondo, Jose Calderon, Steve Nash, or Tony Parker? Hell no. i kno kidd was a great player and has many accomplshments bu please u cant put him high on list about todays point guards. he doesnt have it anymore. He’s jus a pretty good guard now

Michael.S.ParticipantHonestly i alway thought J-Kidd was overrated, i would take Nash over him in a heartbeat, the only thing he ha an advantage over Nash in is D, but Nash kills him on the offensive end and i think Nash is a better playmaker also

Kidd is a better rebounder and leader, he led the Nets to the Finals. Take Kidd off that team and put Nash, they would not have made it out the 2nd round. Also, Kidd deserved a MVP award

marcusfizer21ParticipantAt age 36, J-Kidd is no longer the point guard that he used to be way back in 2001-02 but what made him valuable is that HE is the ONLY player in the NBA that controls and changes the tempo of the game without scoring a point… He shouldn’t be underestimated… When you look at the playoffs, all teams focus a lot on D… Steve Nash can never win a title ’cause he lacks D… Kidd has been to the Finals twice even if you will argue that the East was weak at that time, still, he proved to everybody that the world was flat after all when the Nets (of all teams) went to the Finals…

Knicksboy34ParticipantThey also took 2 games of the Spurs that 2nd Finals run

MuggsyParticipantFor someone talking about letting go of the past, and about how people past their prime shouldn’t be listed, you do realize Nash is like 35 right?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/31/2009 - 7:24pm #193951

Knicksboy34Participantthat was 2 days ago, I wanted to prove a point ( a point which u didnt get that’s why i never responded to it)
You hold onto things for no reason. Let it go. That’s another thing you can argue on this site. I say something you disagree with and you complain. This is like the 2nd time you did it.

Michael.S.Participantcool look
u said this
mikenike…funyy how you never responded to my postI leave it again
I’m not arguing with it. Your upset because I think deep down you know I’m right. You love John Wall and you say oh well he’s gonna be the best PG ever. If I’m correct, did you ask me how much he scored? If I said he scored 24 you would have said ” OMG, HE BETTER THEN JENNINGS” Stop.
Your talking about a PG on the HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. If he was in college doing this, I’d understand. But what if the lack of a jumper becomes a big issue in his game? Me and FOTG just named 2 dudes off the top of the head who was good in HS and could not shoot. I never said Wall is terrible, I said I rather wait and see on Wall.
Anything that has to do with Wall…You defend him. Many players before him had similar hype and some panned out ( LeBron and Kobe) and some did not ( Stevenson, Wagner, Telfair etc) so calm down.
and my response
Knicksboy , dont wanna argue anymore i feel like it’s hurting my rep. but also the way u look at me soooooo.
but ill respond to it

ok lets see
first statement, i have my opinion set in stone right now and we have different opinions so i dont think ur right, and no matter if he scored 30 or 0 i wouldnt have even mentioned it for the simple fact that its un-necessary ,also there was 1 poster who said Wall played fabulous the next meeting
second……Brandon Jennings is also still un-proved as of now, and sure there are alot of busts, but some players scream star and i see that in Wall
third…..i defend my opinion, and i have calmed down lol

MuggsyParticipantDifference of opinion is one thing, but spamming arguments gets old. I respect both of your basketball minds, but seriously lay off eachother.

auberParticipantHonestly when it comes to fantasy numbers across the board then a legit argument can be made. He’s lost a step, but he’s still a veteran leader to any team he’s on. It’s too bad he’s got Dirk along side of him, he’ll never win a championship with him.

gatorheelsParticipantHaha Auber…. you are always killin Dirk. I gotta agree though.
