    Normally it would be a waste of my time and yours to discuss recruits from the class of 2014. Kentucky still doesn’t have a player from the class of 2012, so why would we worry about guys two years younger than those recruits? But Leron Black from Memphis stands out after a comment he made at the Eddie Ford Kentucky Hoopfest in Louisville this week.

    “I would like to go to Kentucky,” he said. “Yes, that would be my favorite. I just like coach Calipari. I went to camp and I really liked him when he was at Memphis.” [via Jody Demling]

    According to ESPN’s recruiting gurus, the 6-foot-7 forward is the 13th ranked player in the 2014 class and the third best at his position. Though he’s listed as a power forward, Black models his game after Kevin Durant and he’s best fit in that swingman role.

    He already holds offers from Auburn, Georgetown, and Memphis.

    With a name like Leron, he shouldn’t have any problem turning his back on his hometown team in pursuit of a championship.

    I would have massive respect for any big time recruit out of high school who would say he patterns his game after Brian Cardinal or Brian Scalabrine

    They are interviewing kids from the class of 2014 already! Sh!t, no wonder Lebron is as arogant and cocky as he is. I am 14, and if people started treating me like I am the best, I’d probably become big headed.

    prob never since he has never paid a player. The real question is how long till he gets very good and a agent starts paying him
