LBJ said that next year he will change his number from 23 in honor of Michael Jordan after the Heat game.

hope he gets rid of the 23(no disrespect to MJ), he needs so not live in MJ’s shadow and be his own player. 6 is a good number for him.

when I was growing up, everyone wanted to wear 23 for jordan. I think guys should want to establish their own identity and have their own number. #23 is clearly Jordan’s number.

The reason why I say this is because LeBron should’ve had the mentality from the start that he wanted to be his own player and that he wants to write his own history and have his chance of challenging Michael as the greastest player of all time. That’s just how I look at it. Don’t know how others see it.

i say if u still want to honor MJ without really being in his shadow with 23, i would suggest going with 45. cuz 6 def belongs to bill and the doctor

i respect jordan, but to make every team retire his number is dumb. The lakers and celtics were dynastys back in the 40’s and 50’s, why should they hang jordan’s 23 up next to the Jerry West’s and Bill Russell’s? And why should the Utah jazz have to hang jordan right next to stockton and malone? He was good, but he wasn’t a god. He didn’t invent the game.

just about every dominant player in the NBA is cocky and arrogant, Jordan, kobe, mayo, garnett, pierce, etc.
I’d rather have a cocky SOB have the ball in his hands and take the last shot
than someone who gets stomped on in the playoffs like Shane Battier

i don’t know about EVERY team, how bout the one’s ROUTINELY Jordan stole titles from lol

Miami did it already, New York, Utah, who else?

idk how u can say screw jordan when Lebron, Wade, Kobe r just as
    cocky as him,
My man Wade sometimes speaks in the 3rd person for crying out loud 😛
he’s destroys ppl like Varejao on the regular so I guess that validates
the Confidence that Wade got in himself 🙂
