Charlie SheenParticipantLeBron is in control of the world the only one who has a press conference smh he better win a title after all this HYPE
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:20pm #347846

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantWhy do I have a feeling he’s gonna have a couple hats in front of him like this is college?
I hope he picks NY but I wouldn’t be upset if he chooses Cleveland.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipant“Chris Broussard on ESPN just said ‘dont be surprised if its the New York Knicks.’ Why wouldnt I be surprised?”
Really, a television network driven by rating would never try to boost viewership by throwing empty rumors about LeBron joining a team in NYC (20 million people) or Chicago (10 million). They are beholden to the highest of journalistic ethics.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I couldn’t get it out without laughing.

sayounhParticipantI’m sorry but that just griinds my gears. He started saying how much he loves New York and MSG and made all these subtle hints about New York and caused this whole media frenzy about this year’s free agency for a full year. Then he tried to set up an extravagant free agency “tour” where each city he visited Nike would design a new shoe. And now it culminates to this: a primetime announcement on ESPN, which I’m sure will get big Nielsen numbers.
Lebron James is a great player, but he is also an attention whore.

MagikKnickParticipantLOL, As a Knick fan, im telling you I dont think it’ll be New York….but it’ll be funny as hell if it is, half the dudes heads on this forum would just explode….
But I have him staying in Cleveland, getchyerr predictions in now, cuz no “i told yall he was going to ____” will not be accepted after Thursday night

McWinningParticipantI think Quinceys head would land in my backyard if he signed with the Knicks.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:37pm #347861

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI can’t see him signing a long term deal with the Cavs if he stays. The team can’t compete with Orlando without a legit big man.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:37pm #347862

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantEh, if he doesn’t sign with NY, I hope he signs with Cleveland and stay home.
Who’s Quincey.

McWinningParticipantQuincey hodges.
cmon we all know he even beats me when it comes to knicks hating.

JNixonParticipantLebron is the King of the Sports world…He announces his choice at 9 o’clock on ESPN. Haha. Like HD the Kid said, he better win a title. Or 4.

Stevenpeople of all nbadraft. as much as im a die hard knicks fan, lebron james is not comming to NY. however i use to be 80 percent sure that he wasnt now im 50/50 because just the other day he was looking at 12.5 million dollar appt. in nyc. ALSO my father said he thinks lebron is comming to NYC. listen, im the biggest knicks fan ever imo and i obviously would LOVE lebron in ny, but i have a bet riding on this! my dad also pointed out to me that they showed lebron numbers… how much he would make in his life if he chose the following: chi about 600 million, miami about 500 million, clevland, maybe 300-400 million BUT IN NY THE GUY WOULD END UP WITH 1-2 BILLION DOLLARS! that is unheard of. only woods probably has/had that money or was in that direction aleast
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:47pm #347877

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantRight now, I think it’s a wait and see but I get that feeling too but I wanna wait and see.
It’s a hour long. He’s gonna do some stuff before picking his team. We could probably pick a team pretty much by his talking. He’s gonna say something that gives us a lean IMO.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:49pm #347879

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantto some degree I understand why he is holding a press conference. I wouldn’t be surprise if he does the hat thing. After all he never went to college and I guess this would be like a similar thing to it.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:51pm #347881

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantIf LeBron chooses NY
I’m just gonna make a monster post saying ” I told you” like 1000 times. I’m also gonna link all the times I said he was going to NY.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:52pm #347882

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantCrazy Thought
What if LeBron puts on a Miami hat and Wade and Bosh come out of nowhere and put on Miami hats? lol
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 4:54pm #347886

knicks82ParticipantIf he picks anybody but the Nets Ill be happy. Read on Yahoo that LBJ Wade and Bosh are gonna have a conference call or something tomorrow night to talk about what they are gonna do.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 5:03pm #347889

WrecklessParticipantHopefully he picks NJ, just to piss off all NY fans.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 5:05pm #347890
knicksfan7ParticipantWe need David Stern on this. I want this press conference to have David Stern saying “With the biggest free agent on the market chooses to sign a max contract with the ……..”
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 5:10pm #347891

DanEboyParticipantWhat if he picks Miami and Wade pulls an Elton Brand and signs somewhere else with Bosh.
That would be the most fitting end to all of this nonsense and a great end to Wade’s documentary which then could be called….”The Summer I punked LeBron”
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 5:11pm #347892
stanford hoopshow is what i say considered knicks hating?
“sergio is a backup pg at best”
“the knicks dont play defense”
“lebron wont go to the knicks”
yeah all those statements are hating….theres a difference between hating and stateing facts.
if i said gallo is worst then darko that would be hating
oh yeah another statement
“darko hasnt done much on any team what makes you think hes gonna be a starter for the knicks”
when you say things like someones a hater make sure you have proof or you just look like youre talking out of youre a$$
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 5:13pm #347893
stanford hoopssomething i noticed no one has asked…..where is he doing this announcement at??????..which state/city?…would he really say hes going to the knicks while doing this in cleveland?..would he say hes staying with the cavs while doing this in new york?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 5:15pm #347894
knicksfan7ParticipantYeah they just said that on espn. I think Lebron should not do it in Ohio unless he is staying there.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 5:18pm #347899

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantTezo was right. LeBron really is acting like he wants to simulate the recruiting experience that most of his peers had, even if, in comparison, the period is much shorter and there’s much more at stake.

HaleParticipantIf he does it in Akron and doesn’t pick Cleveland, he might be murdered…
0- Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 6:10pm #347937

knicks82Participantthats true..he may very well be murdered. But on the other hand, if he doesnt want to tip his hand..wherelse would he do it? If it leaked he was going to do it in Chicago..I think we all would know who hes choosing…Plus, why does he need an hour long special just to say hes resigning with the Cavs? THis dude is a drama queen.

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantHe is a drama queen/attention whore, but apparently he is using the proceeds from the advertisements towards charity which is nice
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 6:30pm #347948

SubZeroParticipantAnd that charity will use the money to keep Lebron in Cleveland
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 6:43pm #347956

NYCrealdealParticipantfan will have a field day with all u haters if he signs lol
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 6:50pm #347960

omphalosParticipantI wouldn’t be surprised if he went to the Nets… he and Jay-Z have that bromance thing going on and a coach who knows how to get to the finals. Lopez is what Bron has wanted all along. But really, I’m beyond caring anymore. Wherever he goes, so long as he doesn’t bring Wade with him I don’t mind. Also, I hope he stays the hell away from Chicago, let D-Rose build his own legacy.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 6:54pm #347962
NarcParticipantFor the record I am a Knicks fan, but I say Cleveland, New York, New Jersey in that order.
Yes he is an attention whore, but he seems like a down to earth guy. I would say his heart is in Cleveland, but if and I think its a big if…if he’s all about the $$$$, he’ll be a Knick. This is going to be very interesting, I don’t think I have ever seen one free agent hold the entire market by the nuts like this. It would be funny if he said the Clippers.

TripBzParticipantThis guy Lebron is ridiculous hes a beast on the hardwood, but damn i just think hes a funny character, not haha funny either, i remember when he said he wanted to be the highest paid athlete ever or something like that with that said dudes going to New York City imo..
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 8:46pm #348020
NYK2010ParticipantCavs, Bulls or Knicks pick one
If he goes to the Nets I’ll be surprised and the Clippers they don’t have much of a shot but they have a lot of talent.
Staying with the Cavs not sure why but thats what reports have him leaning towards.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 9:00pm #348026

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantlets say he is a free agent again in 2012, I hope he is a bit mature and just give us the answer asap.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/06/2010 - 9:04pm #348029
nyk92ParticipantIf lebron comes to Ny, they still need some pieces, who do you see them getting?
i say they sign and trade for Lee and curry and picks for Ellis and Biendrens, ive been saying it for a while now but i just think hes perfect for this system,
then they sign Mike Miller, and Brad Miller and there Lineup is
Ellis/Douglas
Miller/Chandler
Lebron/ Gallo (you can also move Galo to the PF bc he is 6’10, idk what dantoni would do)
Amare
Biendrens/ MillerWhat do you think about that? sounds like a championship to me!
