Have to say that I like the way that LeBron seems to be settling in as the primary facilitator on the Cavs. Honestly, he has more room in his game to adapt that either Irving or Love, at this point. It is also getting LeBron back to the kind of game that created comparisons to Magic. I think this is going to work, even if it shaves a few PPG of his average.

With respect to the Heat, remember the first couple of weeks of the season where everyone was discussing how much Bosh had stepped up and how LeBron made a mistake leaving Miami? Well, now the Cavs seem to be getting it together and are on a mini-roll. The Heat, on the other hand, are now below .500 and the line up is looking a bit thin. I guess that’s why you let the season play out a bit before jumping to conclusions.

As a Pistons fan (argh!), it is hard to watch how good the Bulls are and the Cavs are going to be. Even the Bucks are turning it around faster than the Pistons. With the Pacers likely to bounce back a biut next year (with lottery pick in hand), I don’t have a good feeling about the next few years for my team as the settle to the bottom half of the Central. If you want to point out the presence of Drummond as a reason for hope, I will raise you Bob Lanier. The team has had some pretty terrible records with a really good big man at the center of their team. Sigh.

Speaking of the pistons, what in the world is going on in detroit? Thought SVG was going to turn them around but seem like now he wont make it to the end of the season at the rate they’re going.

With the Pistons I think the main issues are a pretty thin roster and SVG trying to fill roles with players who do not have the most natural skills for his system. The front court log jam has not resolved itself. Monroe’s improved play nets out against continued regression by Josh Smith and the suprising lack of improvement by Drummond.

The real interest will be around what they would do with a likely Top 5 draft pick. Aside from Mudiay, all the other top prospects are bigs. Even if Monroe bolts, they are going to have to do something to balance out their roster a bit.

I seriously laughed when people said Detroit was going to have a good year and Drummond would have a breakout year. I never liked the system and players Detroits has in place. I never thought Drummond was forreal. I hope I’m wrong, but his big Goofy ass is proving to me that his embarassing off court anitics are more entertaining than his game.

I am 100% not surprised in any way, shape or form that Davis is having the year many expected Drummond to have. Drummond and that crumy franchise are scrubs until proven otherwise.

the man dropped 27 14 5 blocks and 4 steals recently.. i mean i know hes been inconsistant but that roster doesnt cater to his talent at all, nevermind the foul trouble. he has a bright future forsure

but I don’t think Waiters fits really well with this team, they should look to trade him for some defensive pieces

The Pistons are a classic example of gathering players who are great basketball talents but low general basketball IQ and mental ability to truly understand the game.

I really hope they realise this and don’t and out massive contracts to player who have poor basketball minds.

The Cavs look to be clicking, I recall that when LeBron went to the Heat, it took them a while to get going the first season but they ended up reaching the NBA finals that year.

As regards Detroit, they have talented pieces but the chemistry does not seem right, they could lose Monroe in the summer too so SVG has a lot of work to do.
