ExumInfernoParticipantThat will save everyone a few minutes, mock drafts were not impacted as teams didn’t move up or down.

220ParticipantI don’t think I’ve ever seen the lottery not have any changes.

daggers818ParticipantAny Stats majors out there in our forum? What are the odds of the ALL the teams maintaining their predicted order? Kinda crazy, impossible I bet from a statistical standpoint?

StephGoneStephParticipantNot as crazy as you might think- as they only draw the top three picks. The probability of Phil getting number one is 1/4, then LA #2 given that Phil got #1 is 199/750=.265, then Boston at #3 given the first two picks is 156/551=.28. So a little under 2% probability.

daggers818ParticipantThanks for the explanation — still low odds but as you said not really that crazy.

HitsterParticipantVery rarely the picks stay in the same order, almost defeats the idea of the draft lottery, I always like to see one team move up just to shake things up.
I never mock draft until after the lottery so it doesn’t bother me.

Hype MachineOddly…if a team with a 2% chance jumped up to #1 we would all think it was a major fluke.
Yet the odds of the order staying the same is also 2% but no one is surprised.
