Not a curse, we are getting two top 7 picks hopefully. Last time this happened we got Alldridge and Roy, if it works that way again we get another all star to pair with L.A and if we are lucky we get an All Star and a very good starter and will be a much better team by next year competeing for a playoff spot with Batum, L.A, Hickson,Wesley Mathews plus the rookies.

Hope he gets healthy, he’s developed into a perenial All-Star. The Blazers don’t have much time or room to tank, maybe they can get down to teh 9th pick or so, and then get teh Nets’ 4th pick, and they’d be in a good psoition, but getting LaMarcus healthy is obviusly going to be a priority.

The pick from the nets is top 3 protected and there pick would only have like a 5 percent chance.

I really won’t like it if this team gets the first or second pick. The Blazer have had more than enough chances more than any other team, and with the squad they have now are way better than the Bobcats and Cavs.

I don’t think they really had many chances. I mean how many games has Roy, Aldridge, and Oden actually played together?

Still got the players and injuries it happens. Look at the team they have now and tell me they aren’t better than the Cavs, Nets, Hornets, Bobcats, hasn’t this team been getting high draft picks for around 6 or 8 years straight.

Huh? The last "high draft pick" they got was Oden. That was 5 years ago. The fact that the Blazers have accumulated talent better than those teams does not necessarily entitle them to better picks for sucking. Yes, they are worse teams and injuries do happen. But, bad personnel decisions and drafting happen, too. The Cavs got the first and fourth pick a year after losing LeBron. Did they "have more than enough chances"? Do the Blazers have to completely suck for them to deserve a potential high pick.

The Blazers lost the 7th pick from the 2006 Draft and the top pick in 2007 played 82 games in 5 years. Think those have been some bad breaks. Not like Charlotte trading away Adam Morrison to the Lakers for Pokemon cards, or drafting DJ Augustin over Brook Lopez. Not like Cleveland being bad enough for one year to "deserve" two top 4 choices. Not like the Nets trading lots of potential pieces away to "build" around Deron Williams.

The Hornets I genuinely feel bad for, but they will get theres. Just do not see your logic, especially seeing that the best the Blazers could do would be a 1/4 scenario, though they have much more of a snowballs chance in hell of that happening due to the odds than the Cavaliers. The Blazers have had awful luck and I do not think they got nearly as many chances as you think. They start a guy who was undrafted and another who was a 25th pick, both of whom have well surpassed their value. If they get a top 5 or so pick from that New Jersey trade, I think they flat out deserve it like any other team who trades for a first round pick for a team pretty well outside of the play-offs.

For_Never_Ever must not have been paying attention to the draft lately…past few seasons they’ve drated early 20s

I’m not gonna call it a curse. Its a hip injury but not as severe as a knee injury. There are less than 10 games remaining this season so being out for the rest of the season is probably a good thing since the team is underachieving and not in position to compete for the last two playoff spots. I hope he comes back healthy.

And does anyone remember the Bulls drafted Aldridge then traded him for the talented garbage that is Tyrus Thomas. The Blazers caught a break there

Ok maybe my logic is off and you definitely know the facts. All I’m saying I don’t want them getting the first or second pick because this team has enough talent with aleady 2 likely high picks coming.  Teams have surprise everyone have won the draft on a lucky bounce before.
