    Best Young Player: Kostas Papanikolaou

The category of "best young player" involved players who were born from 1990 onwards, and made their presence felt in the Basket League 2011-12 season.
As demonstrated by the 69 votes that were submitted by the press from all over Greece, the choice was easy. Kostas Papanikolaou played a decisive role in winning the Greek Championship with Olympiacos, and collected 56 first place votes, four second place votes, and 2 third place votes.

His overall vote total was 178. A clear victory over the second place finisher, Vangelis Mantzaris, also of Olympiacos, who had a total of 93 points. The third place finisher was Vassilis Kavvadas of Panionios, with 40 points.

    The journalist’s poll:

Papanikoloau, Mantzaris, Kavvadas, Sloukas, Giankovits, Larentzakis, Pappas, Kanonidis, Katsivelis, and Papagiannis are all definite NBA level players.

Sloukas also finished 4th in the Euroleague’s Rising Star award:

The Rising Star Trophy recognizes the best Euroleague player who was under the age of 22 on July 1 of the summer before the season started. Mirotic was one of several young stars of whom this year’s Euroleague head coaches thought highly. Partizan mt:s big man Milan Macvan finished second in the voting, while center Furkan Aldemir of Galatasaray Medical Park and Olympiacos Piraeus guard Kostas Sloukas also garnered votes.

Papagiannis, the 7 foot 14 year old center, finished 10th.

Yet Papanikolaou is the only one on this site’s mock draft…

And he was not even on this site’s mock until they actually saw him play just TWO games.

So your point is what? This site does not see any of these players play.

Mr. Kostas Papadapoulouspaprandrakispapanikolaou could be a second round pick.

He’s got skill, and youth. Seems like a draft-n’-stash sort of guy.
