delfamParticipantWonder what the wizards would be sending back, I guess Nick Young maybe?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:37am #339679

dmo21ParticipantSo the Wiz would have a 3 man guard roation of Arenas, Wall, and Hinrich lol.. Hinrich would fit better with Sac Town playing pg while Tyreke plays sg..

HaleParticipantI really wonder what they got back. Why trade the 17 pick too? I get that it’s a guaranteed contract, but teams are doing way too much salary dumping, when they don’t even know if they will get someone. I love the Bulls, but they should’ve kept the pick.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:43am #339688

maaronmmsParticipantis it a done deal
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:45am #339689

WizardofOzParticipantI don’t think the Wizards wanted Hinrich. There had been countless rumors that the Wizards were trying to get another pick in the teens so I think they were only targeting the pick but the Bulls probably weren’t going to give up the 17 pick without Hinrich so the Wizards had to settle with Hinrich and the 17 pick.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:47am #339691

MagikKnickParticipantwow, literally gave away the 17th & Hinrich for nothing.
But I guess its not for nothing, if the deal is done they can get 2 max FAs
Wizards sure stacking up on the guards, Wall, Arenas, Hinrich, Foye
I think we know Boykins, Crittenton and Livingston aren’t gonna return
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:49am #339693

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantWashington wanted to get another lotto pick- Now that have items to do it.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:50am #339694
knicksfan7ParticipantThe Bulls made a terrible deal…..unless they get the big names. If they don’t this was a bad deal.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:53am #339697

JNixonParticipantRandy Foye isn’t returning either I don’t believe.
They also said the Kings might be the takers if the Wizards don’t have the cap to go through the deal. I think the Kings are a better fit than the Wizards for Hinrich anyway.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:53am #339698
blackflash234ParticipantSo will this deal actually go down or what because if Washington gets the 17th, this changes my whole draft board. Anybody have any insight if this trade will go down?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:54am #339699

ChiefSixOneParticipantwe should of kept that pick.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:54am #339701

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantSmall Forward would be my guess Black.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:56am #339705

OhCanada-ParticipantWho knows what Washington does with those players.Maybe Hinrich and the 10th still go to Indiana but just through Washington.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:57am #339706

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIf this goes through, the Bulls will have the room to max out one of the 2003 FAs at $16.5 million and still have $13.8 million left to spend on a second near max guy.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 9:59am #339702

McDunkinI was hoping Hinrich would get moved to a team he could start for
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:01am #339713

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantSo they won’t have enough for 2 max players.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:02am #339714

JNixonParticipantYeah they must know they’re getting at least 1 top guy for sure to make this deal. I think it’s a safe bet that they get a top FA now.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:03am #339716

GreenLanternParticipantThe Bulls now HAVE to get LeBron AND Bosh/Amare/Wade(not gonna happen). No other combination will make this deal worth it in my mind. Rudy Gay and David Lee would be good, but it isn’t worth giving up valuable contracts and 1st rd picks for a good but not great team. It’s not smart to back yourself into a corner like that unless Bulls management knows for sure something we all don’t.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:05am #339719

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI think Chicago has to be thinking D-Wade if LBJ isin’t coming.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:06am #339721

sheltwon3Participantwho does Washington want there anyway. I figure they would go with Saunders because he is long and athletic and could replace Blatche if he starts trippin.
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:10am #339724

WizardofOzParticipantProbably a big man because the Wizards need depth at the 4 and 5 spots. Possibly Sanders at no. 17.

maaronmmsParticipantwtf happened wat are they getting in return
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:19am #339729

maaronmmsParticipanti think they are gettin 30 and 35 they better draft willie warren
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:22am #339731

MinnesotanoParticipantWiz: Kirk Hirnirich
Wolves: Al JeffersonSimilar contracts and looks good for both teams.
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:34am #339742

WizardofOzParticipantI would love for that to happen, the the T-Wolves would not accept that trade. They would probably want more talent in return.

Durantula-35ParticipantThe Wizards could trade Hinrich to the Kings
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:39am #339755
doubledribblerParticipantTrying to figure out why everyone thinks Bulls shouldn’t have given up a pick with Hinrich. I like him, but the guy is only good enough to be a backup on a good team and gets paid like a starter. I’d rather trade Deng because of all of the available 3s and his deal is worse, but that didn’t happen. The Bulls are swinging for the fences. You can either keep the team intact and hope you get one big name or do something bigger and hope you can build a championship team. If the Bulls are competing, how likely would it be that one of the guys left at 17 were even going to be a rotation player? Worst case you don’t sign anyone if there is nobody that you don’t like and keep moving forward with Rose, Gibson and Noah. If you keep enough capspace during the season, you can pull off a lopsided deal as OKC has proven.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:57am #339773
LAYUPParticipantWould he be a top tier point guard, no. But most teams (80%)dont have a top tier point guard. He’s an above avg shooter and defender for a point guard and more than adequate passer. Instead of comparing him to Paul, Rose, Parker, Williams compare him to the avg pg or even a above avg point guard like jameer nelson. If you listed out each teams PG I guarantee he would fall somewhere in the middle of the pack at very least. And, in the right situation he would be perfect. He would play great with a combo guard like Evens… fcuk it, I gotta go.

McDunkinthank you for laying knowledge on those hinrich doubters LAYUP
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 11:34am #339821

tuck243ParticipantDumb for the Wizards… I like Kirk, but for what he was producing for the amount of money he was getting paid, Naw… Either Deng or Kirk had to go, I rather get rid of Luol, but Kirk was the only movable piece.
I just don’t understand what Washington is getting out of this… What player is going to be sitting there at 17 to take on 11 million dollars a year (Kirk n the pick’s contract) is it worth it? Do you have a NEED for Kirk? I just don’t get it… Another dumb team taking on other people’s dead weight. Congrats Washington you might have just made Chicago the best team in the league for years to come.

dahoodrecruiterParticipantmaybe they {wizards} have something up their sleeves who knows
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 11:55am #339846

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI just assume that Kirk will later be traded with Young or their pick there… You never know what these people have talked about..
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 12:00pm #339852

IndianaBasketballParticipantThis is becoming an interesting battle between the Bulls and Heat. Great move for the Bulls.
What are the Wizards thinking though? They already have Arenas/Wall. Now they have Hinrich who’s still owed $17 million over two more seasons. Who do they think they’ll get at the 17th pick that’s worth taking on an extra $17 million dollars for?
There has to be another deal in the works for Washington.

I think an arenas trade is in the works…. I wouldnt be surprised
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 12:12pm #339877

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantThe Wizards didn’t give anything up. That’s Grand Theft NBA right there.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 12:14pm #339882

WizardofOzParticipantIt has been reported that the Wizards are only giving up a 2nd-round pick.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 12:17pm #339887

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m sure the Wizards are giving up a future second round pick or something.
This deal reminds me of when the Nuggets just gave the Clippers Marcus Camby for a six-pack of gatorades.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 12:27pm #339904

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI think it will probably be the rights to Vladimir Veremeenko. They took him to see if he developed in Europe, and he hasn’t really done so. It’ll be like when Weis’ rights were dealt a year ago.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 2:30pm #340139

marcusfizer21ParticipantI think this trade is Bullsh#4…. Trading Kirk should get us something in return too… Why include the 17th pick? They have a chance to include a guy like James Anderson or Xavier Henry… Waiting for free agency is not a guarantee that they would sign a guy like LBJ or Wade… This is some bullcrap man! I understand that isn’t official but any trade rumors this strong usually is ON… I want Gar Forman’s head!
