The Sacramento Bee is reporting the Kings have signed guards J.R. Giddens & Luther Head to non-guaranteed contracts…
Giddens says his knee has heeled fine..
I have always felt that if he remained healthy..Giddens could be a solid role player…

J.R. Giddens is the 1st (and only) basketball player who given me an autograph. He should’ve beat Lebron in that Dunk Contest too…But man, he looked below average in Summer League. I’d be surprised if he had an impact, espeically with the SF depth Sacto has

Giddens is a bum, he has great athleticism, but just wants to chuck 3’s in game situations. I’m surprised he’s hung around the NBA this long, I don’t expect him to do so much longer.

Beats me, I was not expecting his name to be called before #40 and the Celts took him in the 1st. I don’t know if they were lured in by his vert or what, but he’s a poor charachter guy with a lot of holes in his game. He had a pretty solid senior season in college, and I think his athleticism tricked Boston into taking him.

I used to chill with giddens in albuquerque.
dude had some funny roommates. im glad to hear he got picked up. way better potential than darrington hobson. (both ex UNM lobos)

i cant really talk on this because i am biased. I feel like he has something to offer, but then again i used to chill with the guy and i want him to do well.
There is obviously some reason the Kings signed him. I feel like they have been making some pretty good moves the last couple years so i would be surprised if J.R. is really as bad as you guys are saying. Last i saw him the dude had alot of skill and a very good all around game for a wing. Then again i never thought he took himself or basketball serious enough to really compete in the nba. I havent seen him in a few years so i will have wait and see what happens.
