After experiencing pain in his left knee against the Nuggets on Saturday, Love underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove a lose body from his knee.

I don’t know where this lose part comes from and also don’t think this whole thing is a devasting injury but man that must really suck for him and especially for LeBron. Love might be rested come playoff time but for sure also won’t be in top form. I’m really excited to see how Derrick Williams is going to use Loves minutes along with Frye.

The East is getting pretty interesting to me now with the Raptors struggling, the Wizards playing their best ball of the season now, IT playing out of his mind and the Cavs without Love for several weeks.

Who should take love’s spot in the all-star game now?

Carmelo? Horford? Drummond? Whiteside? Beal? Someone else?

Love should be back and healthy for the playoffs and the Cavs should still be considered the heavy favorites. However, this is still a big deal because it likely forces Lebron to shoulder even more responsibility and to play more mins at pf, which could wear him down.

This is an interesting developement, and it should be interesting to see who picks up the minutes. With LeBron and Kyrie playing a ton, and it getting national attention, does CLE come together as a team, and who steps up? Should be an interesting narrative, and I’m looking at you D. Williams!

The Cavs don’t want to drive their two star players into the ground, so we might have a situation like in 2010-11 when the Heat were the better team, but hte Bulls ended up taking home court advantage.

Personally I don’t think it really matters, but if TOR or BOS can get a potential 4 games at home, they might be able to bring it to 6 or 7 games. And who knows what could happen then.

Beal should get the all-star nod, but knowing the league they’ll probably give it to Melo.

Trade Erson Ilyasova to Cleveland for Kay Felder and 2018 first rounder. Stretch four solved.

I think Cleveland will be fine.  They don’t need a replacement for Love.  Channing Frye has proved serviceable when needed in a starting role and Derrick Williams has played decently well off the bench.  I think Cleveland should be more concerned with finding LeBron some rest.

LeBron has played more 300 more minutes in 12.5 years in the league than Jordan played in all his 15 years.  If they want to keep winning in the long-term, this is a more pressing issue than Kevin Love’s injury.
