I think The Heat have lost there competitive advantage as The Big 3 salaries are increasing. They are taking up 90% of cap and only getting value from Lebrons play. Chris Bosh has had his role and numbers seem more like Marqueef Morris who could be had a little over 3 million, yet costs The Heat 20 million. Dwayne Wade is getting older and game has seem to decline rapidly while player like Lance Stephenson is rising and will probably surpass Wade this year. I believe that over the past 4 years they are worth every penny as they have brought Mickey Arison tremendous increase n franchise value and profits from four straight finals run.
I just don’t see them being able to beat the west as the Spurs, Thunder, Rockets, and Clippers are going to be younger, hungrier and more well rounded team come finals time. Even the Pacers and possibly the Bulls with Rose, Mirotic, and whatever offseason gains they get from cap space and 2 mid first round picks. The Spurs created the blueprint to destroy the current heat. Lesser talented teams can use this to limit top heavy teams by tiring out the star players and hoping there depth can overcome The Heats back 9.
