PulseGlazerParticipantBetween his rebounding, energy, basketball IQ, lack of ego, willingness to do the dirty work, and ability to cover multiple positions (the last I’m projecting)… he will be the steal of the draft – a first team All Defense performer in time. That type is always under-rated coming out of college, from Wallace to Rodman on down, but it’s a winning player type that really affects winning teams. Whomsoever gets Faried is getting the absolute steal of the draft, pretty much any pick after #10.

iminipandaParticipantIve been saying that for a while. Not to many guys like Faried in the world.

TheLastWordParticipantHis lack of any offense outside of 5′ would keep me away. Best case scenario Dejuan Blair

PulseGlazerParticipantDejuan Blair is ridiculously useful and should have been in the 10-20 range of his draft. He has as much or more value than Terrence Williams, Earl Clark, Austin Daye, Gerald Henderson, Tyler Hansborough, James Johnson and Eric Maynor. That’s 7 of those 10 picks he’s better than. I think Faried can be every bit as good, but has more versatility as a defender.

dodgerParticipantI love a dirty work player. I hope this guy can put it together. Watching guys like Big Baby, Paul Milsap and Brandon Bass find their niche in the league, makes me thing this guy has a shot.

r377ParticipantHe will be great for 5-8th ranked playoff team trying to make that next step up. I think denver and portland might grab him….

PulseGlazerParticipantI like him in Denver. He replaces K-Mart at a fraction of the cost and can develop with Gallo, Chandler and Lawson.

NJHooper95ParticipantFaried is well-suited for a playoff team or a title contender. This is a guy that will never hurt your team chemistry, because he doesnt need the ball, and he can score off of rebounds and put backs. Love his energy and hustle. He is more athletic than Dejuan Blair and probably more driven as well.

xavier328ParticipantHe could turn out being a steal…Dennis Rodman
Or a bust depending on where he’s drafted….Renaldo Balkman

BKKnicksfanParticipantI’m sorry, I see a Reggie Evans/non offensive Shawn Marion type dude. He will rebound, but he’s not tall enough to get many blocks, he won’t be that great in the post. He’s pretty much Moute if Moute went to a lower level D1 school. A good defensive player, that’s it.

PulseGlazerParticipantBalkman had a good pedigree, but nothing like Faried in terms of production. A good defensive player who a very low likelihood of exploding who can rebound at an elite level IS worth a lottery pick.

providencefriars1ParticipantHow is Balkman a bust, he was picked mid first rd and is still a good defensive player in the NBA today

knicksfreakParticipantI totally agree and would love to see the knicks pick him up at 17. He has less question marks than other players because we know he is an elite rebounder with a motor who defends.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI see a Reggie Evans type guy as well. He has no offense and he doesn’t have anywhere near the physical strength nor the body that Rodman and Wallace had coming out of college.

aamir543ParticipantI know he played in a weak confrence, but he did put up 17 points a game. And this guy has a reckless motor. Drafting is not an exact science, it is more like gambling. But Faried seems to be the best bet. We know he wont be a star, but you know what he is gonna give you. If Klay is gone by 11, I want my Warriors to reach or trade back for him. He is as close to a sure thing as you can have, and by sure thing, I mean solid contributer. I see him being a 7 and 12 type of guy on a contender.

PulseGlazerParticipantRodman was a string-bean early in his career. Defenders come in all shapes and sizes.
