NorrinRaddParticipantWho’s the better prospect?

sweaterflexParticipantMBJ has a very encouraging body of his work from his pre-college tape, and showed a complex mixture of traits at Louisville, with an off the charts 3pt attempt rate and a high usage rate. There’s a lot of LaMelo Ball there in a less controversial package.
Keaton Wagler is an uncomfortable bet, Mr. New Hampshire, short wingspan, unimpressive vertical. He also had the highest usage on the #1 offense in the country as a true freshman. Betting on Keaton is betting that he has the same transcendental basketball IQ that Haliburton, Nash, and Curry have; if he doesn’t have it he’s Landry Shamet. It’s hard to bet anyone has that in them, but I’d bet on Keaton to have it more than any guard since Cade (though Boozer probably has it in the front court).

OhCanada-ParticipantHes my thing with Wagler. All that technical dribble creation and one dribble stepback scoring is alot more difficult when your being knocked off your spot by a guy like Dylan Brooks or Lou Dort. His game needs strength badly since he does not finish above the rim and is predictable, he likes to go left. The amount of weight he needs to add to his game could change his athletic profile if he doesn’t put it on the right way. But thats just if your picking him ahead of Mikel Brown and Darius Acuff like the Clippers did.
Mikel Brown is someone at the beggining of the year I was wondering if he’s in a tier with Dybansta/Boozer/Peterson but he had a tough year and seemed disinterested or you might say lacked effort. Thats not something you wanna hear about a player. But he’s also got the best looking jumpshot I’ve ever seen and just such a natural wealth of talent for anything that requires skill.
This is really even for me but if I had to pick one it would be Mikel Brown.

NorrinRaddParticipantWagler needs time to adjust for sure. He’s not finished product and strength could sure help his game not getting bullied to his spots… Mikel on the other hand went through an injury while simultaneously experienced a big growth spurt while in season. He still gets a pass. I think they’re both going to have success still. I like Mikel a tier ahead.
