Boozer got snubbed. He is definitely underrated amongst general NBA fans.

Whatever, let Kaman be an all-star. Maybe we can sign Booze for cheaper next season.

Would luv to trade him while his value is still high…he’s turning into a black hole that dosent play defense at all…makes bone head play after bone head play…He’s not a first option at all…He’s a third option on a good team

Also Baron is done…he’s no leader at all…shoots under 28 percent from three for the year barely shoots 40 percent from the field

Boozer plays center most of the game. Memo has been struggling so he hasn’t played too many minutes. We play Boozer at center and Millsap or Kirilenko at power forward.

Seems like it would be a problem, but we’ve won 9 in a row so I guess it’s working fine.

i dont see how thats possible when okur has been averaging 30 minutes a game….(25,31,33,27,31)..the last 5 games and every month he plays 27 or more minutes a game…i havent watched all utah games but i still keep up with them since moving and boozer is always checking a pf

Yes. Okur averages 29 minutes a game and the rest of the time we don’t play with a center. The Jazz play 4 on 5.

I lied about that for reasons. Good ones. Because they exist. Boozer never plays center. How could he?

Oh, and I don’t watch every Jazz game. So I don’t know what I’m talking about anyway.

Booze plays center for 19 minutes a game. That is significant time. He guarded Kaman for most of the time he was in the game.

I have no reason to lie, but believe whatever you want. No point in arguing with you.

plays center 19min a game? i highly doubt that is okur is playing 30min a game at center and there is only 40min in a game on top of fez playing 8 min a game. neither guy checks anyone but centers when they are in the game

Fesenko has played a total of 11 minutes in the last month. (Since January 9th)

And there are 48 minutes in a game.

EDIT: And Memo only averages 29 minutes. Ha!

  • #254465

so that would mean boozer would have to play all 48minutes correct?..which he does not play he only plays 35minutes a game. this past month fez has played 3.5 min while kufus has played 3min…..simple put even without all that boozer doesnt play center for 19min a game. and i just finished texting my boy( john millsap) who is at every game and he laughed when i asked if boozer plays 19min a game at center. he said every so often they play him at center for a quarter at most but he never ever plays center for a whole game or even a half

already got the correct info from someone who is actually at the game. didnt need it though becaus ei know he doesnt play center.

Fesenko has played in 3 games in the last month, Koufos has played in 5. A combined 31 minutes over the last month. And that was when Boozer was injured.

I don’t care who your boy is. I watch the games too.

How would that mean he would have to play 48 minutes? He plays center when Memo is out. When he doesn’t play, Memo is in. It’s about as simple of a 3 man rotation as possible.

He plays center every single game.

This is intermediate math. Come on man. Why would you argue over something so obvious with someone who knows more about this than you? You are just embarrasing yourself.

But since you are far and away the most stubborn person on the site, I’ll break it down…

There are 48 minutes in a basketball game.

There are 2 positions in the post.

    48 times 2 equals 96.

That means there are 96 minutes for the post positions in a game.

Over the last month, Carlos Boozer has played in 10 games.

In those 10 games he played a total of 357 minutes.

96 minutes in the post times 10 games equals 960 minutes.

In those 10 games, Kosta Koufos has played a total of 14 minutes.

In those 10 games, Kyrylo Fesenko has played a total of 4 minutes.

    14 + 4 = 18.

    960 – 18 = 942.

So now that we have knocked Fesenko and Koufos out of the way, lets continue.

In those 10 games Millsap has played a total of 276 minutes.

Millsap plays exclusively at the power forward.

Mehmet Okur plays exlusively at the center position.

In those 10 games, Memo played 272 minutes.

    276 + 272 = 548

    548 + 357 = 905

Kirilenko played 43 minutes at the power forward position in the last ten games.

All of the minutes are accounted for.

Now, if Millsap and Kirilenko do not ever play center, somebody has to fill Memo’s missing minutes.

Memo only played 272 out of a possible 462 (48 minutes at center times 10 games, minus the 18 by Fess and Koufos) minutes.

That means this means that somebody played center for 190 minutes.

    190 divided by 10 equals 19.

Boozer is the only other post player besides Memo, Millsap, Kirilenko, Koufos and Fess.

Boozer plays 19 minutes a game at the center position.

These are pictures of Boozer playing center. They are really poor quality. I got them from NBA.com’s highlight reel, but as you can see in each, no Okur, Fess or Koufos. Also sorry for the weird left edge of the last two, I don’t know what happened.

In the first one you can see him guarding Kaman.

I just gave you the stats. Everything is solid. Look it over. If I made an error, tell me. Everything is solid, and slowed down so you can understand it.

Explain how being at a game is any more proof than seeing it on TV. When Boozer plays center and guards Chris Kaman it can be seen on a screen as well.

Quincey you never stop talking. Now, provide a real argument, or let me boast and talk to myself in this topic.

Anyway, stay focused. You are diverting away from the subject matter. Which is that Boozer has averaged 19 minutes at the center position over the last month.

Quincey did you seriously miss that entire post??? Maybe it’s your computer. I posted it a while ago. I thought you were just ignoring it.

Haha, my bad. I copied and pasted it. It’s in my post before this.

    Read this carefully…

“There are 48 minutes in a basketball game.

Boozer plays 19 minutes a game at the center position.”

once again how can you expect me to think thats proof?..a person can easily say that milsap plays center as far as milsap never playing center i do know thats not true because i went to a couple of games when i lived in utah and seen him play it. although it wasnt for very long and it wasnt that often. look at you’re minutes break down. it can easily be said that who ever is in there with boozer is playing center while boozer is playing pf correct?…also ak47 has and does check centers every so often.. also not long and not often

Damn… Somebody get the chalk out and outline the spot where Quincey’s body was found! Lol… He just got murdered.

I don’t really watch Utah that much, but I watched the entire game last night and he defended Kaman a lot. Usually Millsap would sub in for Okur and Boozer would slide over to center. Or Boozer would slide over to center, Kirilenko to power forward and Miles to small forward. I’d say he defended Kaman for about 15-20 mins last night.

And considering Koufos and Fesenko don’t really play… It’s not hard to imagine Boozer having to play 19 mins a game at center. They really don’t have a choice.

Millsap enters the game to replace Okur, Boozer moves to center. Okut replace Boozer! I have watched every jazz this season and Boozer plays the center position every game. The only time Koufus and Fez get any playing time is when one of those three are in foul trouble.
