Joakim Noah is 1 of my favorite players..His free spirited antics have made him a fan favorite..Who can forget that Outrageous suit he wore to the draft? Or him Confronting Lebron when Lebron danced around while the Cavs were blowing out the Bulls..

Noah is the type of teammate every wants on their team..Unselfish,talented,driven,very competitive,not afraid to take a charge and always plays at a frenetic pace..His high energy play can uplift the crowd and inspire his teammate..

But Noah is the most overrated underrated player in the league…

Weakness

Noah’s offense is extremely limited..He led the Bulls in Field Goal Percentage with 50%..

But 94% of his scoring comes from layups,dunks & putbacks..He has a hard time creating his own offense becuz 80% of his dunks & nearly 60% of his inside shots were assisted.He lacks upper body strength and often gets pushed around by stronger centers and some power forwards..And gets pushed out of the lane by much smaller players due to his lack of lower body strength..He has no post game and poor footwork..Has an unthrodox shooting form..Rumor has it that Noah has spent the summer in the gym..Working on his lower body strength and balance .And trying to develope some post moves..

Strengths..

Noah all out hustle and willing to drive on the floor for lose balls and take charges..He transition defense is terrific,he can guard smaller quicker players on switches..And due to his natural athleticism he can trap & press..He’s also a terrific passer and a decent ball handler for a big man..Noah is a terror on the offensive boards..And excellent help defender .Blessed with great hands ..And does a great job of drawing fouls from the opposition…

Noah is the type of player every team craves…But fans who don’t understand the game will never see his true value…….

 He’s gonna have another very solid year.  His limited offense isn’t a major factor, he has more offensive ability than Mutombo who was viewed as a top center despite his lack of offense. Joakim can actually knock down a 12-15 footer, but his form is so weird I cringe when he goes up for it, when in reality he hits them at a pretty decent clip. 

I think his 2010-11 season will be about 13.5 ppg 11.5 rpg and 2.1 bpg, to me those kind of numbers on a playoff team mean a top 5 center, ok….well top 7 or 8,  this is where my fan hood may sneak a little in to my analysis, haha.

Well said. I honestly think that everyone on the bulls has gotten overrated to an extent because derrick rose has became a favorite everywhere because of his endless potential. Joakim noah is one of the best energy players in the league, but he’s far from an elite center. He is definitely a guy you want in your championship formula because you need hustle guys like him but he’s not elite at all. I saw someone say that the bulls in geting kyle korver got utah’s best wing player. I’ve seen people say that keith bogans is a top 5 defender in the league (he’s legit, but top 5?) So i definitely feel bias for the bulls and thats probably why we’re all of a sudden hearing this talk of joakim noah lately.

way overrated, not much if not at all better than verejao. i go by the eye test forget the stats. of course he has a lot of rebound , but the bulls had poor shooting.

Say what you must he is one of the few players that actaully voices his opinion and doesnt put up with any BS. Those types of players are way too little nowadays in the NBA and should be admired and valued with carefull consideration while ranking Joakim among the leagues best players.

Dont get me wrong..if had a team i’ll pick Noah over some superstars..i love his hustle and energy…

what i’m saying is even though he plays hard every minute he’s on the floor..

he still have alot of holes in his game..but his positives outweigh his negatives…..

Title contending teams now have more than just 2 all-star caliber players. It would be very difficult to win championships with only two all-stars unless they were top tier players. Rose and Boozer will not cut it against the top competition, and I don’t see Deng living up to his potential. Noah will complement Boozer well in the paint. Who is going to complement Rose though? Rose is the Bulls’ primary scorer, and I don’t see the Bulls winning with Rose, a PG, being the main scorer. If Arenas couldn’t do it as a scoring PG with the pretty good supporting cast he had back in the day, I don’t see Rose doing it who is actually a more limited scorer than Arenas before he got set-back with Injuries. Also back in that time, the East wasn’t as deep as it is now. That is why the Bulls need to get Rose some real help, especially when it’s available, instead of a bunch of complementary players. Rose needs someone who will take the scoring pressure off him on the perimeter.

Noah can’t hit the free throw line jumper for his life.

Go figure why Shaq and everyone else kept letting him shoot it at the free throw line possession after possession lol.
