From the video and live game action I’ve seen, Antoine Agudio clearly is a more athletic/NBA ready version of J.J. Reddick, in the sense that he has the lights out shooting ability extended beyond NBA range, along with the quickness, sound ball-handling and strength to penetrate and finish at the rim with a variety of moves. While specialist shooters such as Reddick struggled against some of the better teams in college when faced with athletic defense, Agudio actually had his highest scoring totals against the better teams in his conference, such as George Mason, James Madison and Georgia State. Just his athleticism, defense and top-flight shooting ability should land him a high to mid 2nd round selection. Agudio has immense potential, especially when compared to other specialist players who get adequate playing time on NBA rosters, i.e. Matt Carroll. Every team in the league could use a player who can open up the lanes and extend the defense like Agudio can. As pointed out by the original poster, it does seem a little inconsistent of nbadraft.net to not have a profile on Agudio. Especially when he led the CAA in scoring, broke the 3 point record at Hofstra, which has had a history of N.B.A. players come through the system such as Speedy Claxton. Other sites such as draftexpress have extended coverage of Agudio and consider his shooting ability exceptional. I hope draft.net looks into this player as he should be getting attention in the 2nd round.

Hofstra’s roster for next year will feature point guard and youtubed sensation, Charles Jenkins, who had a breakout freshman season, earning C.A.A. rookie of the year honors. Hofstra has become a powerhouse in recruiting from the New York City area, locking up the best talent from Brooklyn and Queens. The future is looking bright for the pride.

Do you post on CAAZONE.COM? Great site for hofstra fans. It is pretty weak that NBADRAFT.NET doesnt have him. I really hope he gets drafted. He truly deserves it.

Hofstra Basketball’s Future looks very very bright, they are signing all of the New York City kids nowadays. JUCO Sensation Tony Dennison is currently on Campus, and David Imes, Yves Jules, and Chaz Williams, will be soon to follow! Look for the Pride to make some noise in the Colonial in the next couple of years!
