HaleParticipantThe Bobcats, really? He’s a great coach and would bring discipline but the ‘Cats would most likely still be awful. Orlando depends on whether Howard puts them through hell for another year.

draft2017Participantwhat kind of impact can he have if he signed with either team on the first year?

PowerAllyParticipantIf Sloan agreed to coach the Bobcats he’d be dead before the 5th game. The horrible, undisciplined, uninterested (and frankly stupid) basketball players on that team would drive him into an early grave. Tyrus Thomas alone would give him a stroke.

YoungKINGSParticipantI actually like Gerald Henderson and Anthony Davis. That’s a start lol

Counting StarsParticipantJerry Sloan loves teaching the game, but there is not much foundation to start with in Charlotte. I think he might be good for Orlando. I think they could use his old school style. He would help Charlotte as well, but he might kick a few asses to do it.

AKOOParticipantI wish the Hawks would have let Drew go and pick this guy up.

JordanC20ParticipantI think Sloan would be a great fit for the Bobcats…get those guys motivated.

omphalosParticipantOrlando is a better fit, they need a proven coach if they are serious about making another run with Dwight, and I’m not sure there is a better coach on the market right now.
Bobcats need to find a coach they can build around who will give them an identity, Sloan just doesnt have enough left in the tank to accomplish this.

surveParticipantI already mentioned this on a previous thread about Sloan and Orlando. I think he would be the perfect fit there because they have some decent pieces and dont necessarily need a total overhaul. I still dont think Dwight will be there but maybe if they get Bynum and some other good signings, Sloan could get that team to a higher level.
Charlotte is another thing all together. I agree with omphalos on the fact that they need a younger coach to build an identity and culture.

JoeWolf1I think if Sloan went to a terrible team, like the Bobcats, they’d improve by 10 wins in his first year.

tbp82ParticipantI actually like the idea of Sloan with the Bobcats. Thier roster is bad but they have pieces there. Kemba Walker and Gerald Henderson are a solid start. I think you can add Bismack Biyombo and BJ Mullens as well. I don’t fell any of those four are future all-stars but they could be all solid players. Add in a top 4 lottery pick this year and maybe a few role players to the mix and they’d be ok. A Coach like Jerry Sloan could do wonders here.

HarbingerYou saw the great job sloan did with boozer and his low basketball IQ plus a bunch of d leaguers?Give him a couple years and he will turn the bobcats around.Larry brown got the cats to their first playoff berth but they went into rebuiliding the next season.I wish jerry would go but it seem as tho he doesnt want to coach he looked heartbrook over the utah situation being with that ball club for so long, being the longest tenure coach in any pro sports in history just to let it end on a bad note I think hes done.

no skillsParticipanti am a jazz fan and am still sad how things ended with sloan and the jazz, i would love to have him back so we could end it on good terms but i do not think that will happen. as much as i do not like the heat i actually think this would be a very good team for sloan and i think it would be good for the heat too and under sloan they will all get a ring in my opinion. i just wish it ended better between sloan and the jazz

HitsterParticipantThe Magic would be a great fit for Coach Sloan and with Otis Smith having also moved on, they could also use his experience in the front office. If e was prepared to go to Charlotte then MJ should snap him up immediately short of getting Coach Jackson out of retirement, he’d be hard pressed to find a better coach for the Bobcats.
