I like this for the Lakers.  Lin can play.  Lin and Nash can play some small ball and make the Lakers interesting again.

Julius Randle is a good guy for the future. 

At least they will be fun to watch.

Then next year the Heat, Lakers, and Celtics get the top 3 picks in the draft.

I honestly feel this move is more about the potential jersey sales and merchandise sales that will now come in full force. I’m willing to bet Jeremy finishes near the top on the all-star voting too.

The Lakers are going to be printing money this year if Kobe can stay healthy. Lin + Kobe = So Much Money. Lin’s not perfect, but he can score and will contribute.

NBA license the jerseys so money gets split among all teams unless you are talking about sales at the arena store. 

But yes, Lin with ball in his hands will put up points and assists and his jersey will sell. As a fan it will also make laker games which are always on national tv more interesting. So I approve.

We were in on the Lin trade talks, now we may have to take back Amare and Iman Shumpert to meet the Cap Minimum…

This is great news IMO, I think Shump is a better longterm asset than Lin on the 76ers, and Amare could actually be a good mentor to Noel, Joel and Moultrie while he’s there

I think the Lakers look closer to a playoff team after this trade, Lin and Nash at Guard with Young and Henry/Marshall off the bench sounds solid, Kobe and Deng would be a good SG and SF combo while Randle/Hill/Kelly help Gasol out at F/C

what happened to the deal that was supposedly “in place” between Philly & Houston as reported by several sites. Maybe Hinkie wanted the NO pick in 2015 and his buddy Morey didn’t want to give it up.

 Lin is an upgrade he won’t impact next years free agency run and we acquire a much neede draft pick. With that said, Lin in no way makes the lakers a playoff team and this mean we are that much more limited this summer meaning lakers might be cashing in this season and looking towards next year.
