Jarvis Hayes could continue his career overseas. According to the Israeli media, the 29-year-old forward has been offered to Maccabi Tel Aviv for the next season. Hayes, who has played during his entire career in the NBA, would be now in the list of candidates to join Maccabi, along with the New Zealander player Kirk Penney. In the 2009-10 season, Hayes averaged 7.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the New Jersey Nets.

Teams that should offer him a contract

    Boston (better than Marquis Daniels)

San Antonio (no back up 3)

    Denver (no back up 3)

    Clippers (better than Ryan Gomes)

He is not better than Ryan Gomes.

He’s an overrated shooter. While in Washington, he was a very streaky shooter and I have no idea how he got a reputation as a sharp shooter.

I still remember the game while playing for Washington, he landed on his back hard and everybody thought it was a very serious injury and we was carted off on a stretcher, and the next day, he said he was fine and he played the next game. CLASSIC JARVIS!

    for the Clipps needs…

Gomes ” A quality forward with the bulk to play the post and enough skill to step out and spend some time on the perimeter. Has great strength and a terrific wingspan for either forward spot. Undersized as a power forward, but has average size for a small forward. Not a fluid athlete, but has some explosive qualities to his game. Stuck in between positions, but gets by with his incredible smarts. Can be effective on the block, high post, or out on the perimeter. Has proven to be a very capable offensive player, as well as an excellent passer. Brings some things to the table defensively as well, and is a terrific rebounder. ”

Hayes “Solid defender who has average lateral quickness and strength. Better at guarding strong small forwards than quicker shooting guards. Will get beat of the dribble from time to time. Hard worker. Goes after loose balls. Most comfortable defending in the midrange than the perimeter. Strong enough to keep his man off the block” he is a great perimiter shooter as well and wont try anything stupid

I would rather have ryan gomes then Hayes. Gomes has nice size and is not afraid to bang in the paint and will give you more then just points. Harvis is just an average scorer and does not really offer much else and tends to float around the three point line. But if Maccabi can get Hayes i think his play is well suited for Europe. His size and Speed will be a much bigger advantage and he will be a tough guard.

this is off the bench… would u rather have the scorer or the banger, but a banger is best suited for the powerf orward

True but i meant that ryan gomes is more willing to bang in the paint. I really like his outside game as well hes got a sweat mid range game. All though his three point show is not as good as hayes you have to respect it.
