I might be the only one thinking this as a Duke Fan and Supporter but I think that it would be best that both Jabari and Rodney enter the 2014 draft therefore leaving this year for the sake of Duke atleast. I think both would be better off learning in the NBA and earning money while doing so because this site has Rodney as a lottery along with some others I have seen and Jabari is likely a top 3 lock.

The true reason that I want them to leave even though i love them both as players is because I feel thay have nothing more to prove other than winning the championship which is a way more realistic goal with them staying with the incoming recruiting class.

I feel them staying would force the younger players thay play the 3 to be benched in favor of them. I think it is bad for the program when Duke recruits a player and doesn’t give them sufficient playing time and they they want to transfer because it pretty much means that K was lying to them in the recruiting process unless he promised them to become bench players for their 4 year career. I feel that would sway recruits from Duke unless they are in the top 10 of their class because that has been the only recruits that have gained significant playing time in their time at Duke recently

Semi has been forced to the bench, and so will Justice Winslow if Rodney Stays and Jabari coming back with better conditioning could also force rodney to the bench or to the 2 meaning Suilaimon or someone who would start next year would be relegated to the bench.

What are your guys thoughts on the situation at Duke, and me wanting them to leave has nothing to do with their shortcomings in the NCAA Tournament.

The only thing Hood can do in returning is hurt himself by sliding off boards.

Parker could benefit slightly by coming back. If he stayed at Duke he’d have a chance at playing with a real low post threat which would give him more space on the floor both on the perimeter and in the post. He’d put up some outstanding numbers and be a lock for number 1 unlike this year where he can go from 1-3. If I were him I’d leave though. Why take a chance of staying and getting hurt when your still a high draft pick.

Despite not haveing a great game, Parker is no worse than the 3rd pick.  There is nothing to be had by waiting a year – jumping to the number 2 pick ?  He’s already shown he’s ready.  When he’s done pouting over the loss he’ll leave – too much to risk not too (injury etc).  No better way to prepare for the pros than being a pro

Let’s not forget he had to transfer, so he’s also 21 years old. There’s really no reason for him to come back and lose draft position because he’s older.

I dont think Jabari had nearly as bad a game as  Coach K. He has declined rapidly. Completely living off old accomplishments. Duke wouldnt even try to get the ball inside to Jabari 80% of the time, leaving Jabari to rush and hurry himself when he did get the ball.

They took 34 3pt shots on 56 FG attempts, and most of that was timidly passing the ball around the perimeter and taking an uncomfortable shot. Most times not even getting Jabari a touch on the inside. Terrible coaching.

Are you blaming coach K for jabari shooting 4-14? Lol it’s K’s fault jabari was rushing his shots?

Damn right Im blaming Coach K’s overrated pompous ass for Jabari’s bad game. And the shaky guards who looked terrified playing hot potato with the ball on the perimeter, not even giving Jabari touches. Everytime Jabari got the ball he forced the action knowing he wouldnt get the ball back if he gave it up.

Rodney Hood looked like a scared puppy out there, and he is supposed to be a top 10 pick.

LOL all you want, but if you watched the game (which obviously you didnt) you would see Coack K sucked a big one that day. Anyone with a brain would figure out a way to get the #1 pick in the draft the damn ball, instead of having the 3rd 4th and 5th options flailing up off balance 3’s

Yes. You can blame Coach K for not putting Parker in a position to br successful and help his team. If 60 percent of your teams shots came from 3 either you completely lost control of your team as a coach or your gameplan was garbage.
