valentineSome Competition: Allen Iverson is expected to clear the NBA waiver process later today and a couple of
HOOPSWORLD.COM
NBA teams have prepared offers for the soon-to-be free agent. The New York Knicks are said to have the most to offer Iverson, mainly because he’ll get exactly what he coveted from Memphis, which is the chance to play a ton of minutes as a starter.
The Knicks are a total mess and as one insider put it “the locker room is absolutely toxic” so adding Iverson cannot make the situation any worse. In fact a number of Knicks’ players appear to have lobbied Knicks’ president Donnie Walsh to consider the addition which has gotten the blessing of Knicks’ head coach Mike D’Antoni.
The Miami HEAT have apparently also expressed some interest in Iverson, which is somewhat surprising considering how well the HEAT have played, but if the option is a lot of losing in New York or a strong playoff push in South Beach where do you think Iverson lands?
Knicks president Donnie Walsh downplayed that his team was the favorite, saying nothing was done, but it does seem Iverson has a few options on the table and these are only the ones we’re hearing about, so stay tuned.
More as it develops.

TyroberParticipantiverson should go to the knicks like he should have in the first place. they arent going anywhere this year and its not like AI is going to hurt anything. the heat should definitely stay away though.
