OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWith the reports of James Jones resigning with the heat and Magloire and Arroyo also expecting to be back that would make 13 players on the roster with two spots left. Heat current roster soon to be:
C: Anthony, Big Z, Magloire, Pittman
PF: Bosh, Haslem, Howard
SF: James, Miller, Jones
SG: Wade
PG: Chalmers, ArroyoIt doesn’t look good for him.

JNixonParticipantThey might put him at SG? Maybe that’s his only hope

OllstarParticipantYou can add jason williams as the possible 3rd point. Varnado was picked before Butler too. You might see wade james miller all starting. So you can still have 2 pgs off the bench which alot of teams like to have. I think this team needs a wing defender to play with wade and james. Barnes is the top free agent right now.

sheltwon3ParticipantButler may not get signed this year but maybe next year. Do we know if he is fully recovered yet.

knicksfan7ParticipantHe’s definitely not fully recovered yet. He tore his ACL, and an ACL injury is at least a year. It has only been 3 months since he tore it. I do think he gets signed on somewhere either later this year or next year.

Doc HoopsParticipantWhy not just sign him and place him on the NBDL roster? Or sign him and just let him be that reserve who’s injured?
Miami doesn’t need 15 players.

dipt1982ParticipantHe’s such a good player, knows the game well, creates his own shots…hated to see him go down like that, wish for a speedy recovery and a shot on somebody’s roster…it will happen.

TRC1991ParticipantI love Butler’s game I hope he heals ok

dipt1982ParticipantI gained a ton of respect for Bob Huggins after seeing this happen. He truly cares about his players. And De’Sean Butler was one of the best he’s ever coached…
