Too coolParticipantAfter watching yesterday’s game, I really believe he is. His shot has improved tremendously and has become reliable. He can also get to the basket at will because of his speed and shot making ability. Kyrie Irving however, is the best NBA prospect out of all the point guards. Agree or disagree?

delfamParticipantI really don’t consider him a point guard even though he plays the position, he’s more of a scoring guard. I still say it’s between Kyrie Irving and Dmitri McCamey. Walker is however one of the best guards in the country, I just wan’t a PG that passes more.

ChrispyParticipantI think Irvings size and strength make him a better overall NBA prospect, but small jet quick guards have made nice careers. Let us not forget T.J. Ford was on his way to not a great career but a solid one before those nasty (and potentially life threatening) injuries really changed the way he plays. I see him as Ford with a better J and better court awareness, but Irving has a chance to be franchise changer. I’m not a Duke guy but … Physical tools + poise beyond his years + good coaching = chance to be great.

stanford hoopsi think hes a better passer then people give him credit for. he averaged 5ast a game last year which is very good in collge. this year he has taken more of a scoring role. I think he has the potential to have a nate robinson type of nba future. Yea right now he’s the best scoring point guard in the nation

ChrispyParticipantRight now he is the best scorer in college period!!! I agree he has a great chance, but I don’t see the Nate Robinson comparison. Do you mean in terms of impact and role?

JNixonParticipantI do think he’s the best scoring PG in college basketball. He’s a solid distributor, but he’s proven that he’s not the most pure quarterback in terms of running an offense AND scoring too. He’s a bit TO prone and wild when he tries to be a playmaker. I think he can be a T.J. Ford type PG in the NBA though. A solid scorer who can create in the drive and dish and make plays with his quickness and energy.

OhCanada-ParticipantHe is currently the best PG in the NCAA right now imo. Freshman like Irving, Selby, Knight and other very inexperienced players such as Waayns, Mack, and Lee have yet to establish themselves as premier PG’s and im sure someone will breakthrough to that elite status soon. I must say thou, as a scorer Walker shows emense NBA upside especially with his great speed and creativity.
