valentineclippers-worst franchise in the history of sports maybe even out of sports…including movies about bad sports teams
knicks-pretty bad team for the past 10 years always hoping for a star that never comes but at least they can say they are better then the clippers
do ya’ll ever read reports saying anyone WANTS to go to the clippers?..does anyone ever go to the clippers and if they do do they get worst once they get there?
Knicks aren’t much better because stars SAY they wanna go there but end up going somewhere else
both have been bad the past 10 years but who has been worst (before those 10 years we all know who was worst)
And who has a brighter future?

HitsterParticipantThe Knicks have bigger market, bigger following and have won and contended for Championships in the past both teams have struggled over the last decade and the Clippers maybe have a better young roster than the Knicks but the Knicks have STAT and the potential to add further players and thus become stronger over the next few years.
The Knicks cannot do it overnight and the fans may realise this now even if they make 8th place in the play offs this year then it’s progress and brings in more revenue and attracting top players now they have STAT and to a play off team is easier than to a 30 win team with Eddy Curry and guys on rookie deals.

EzeEdParticipantMan the Clippers, definitely a different type of organization, have the goal of making money——not winning anything. In sports, everyone feels like winning is the most important thing, and to that end, the Knicks are trying to do that——and I give them credit for trying (see Isiah’s time there, not the results, but the unlimited money spent). The owner of the Clips is a cheapskake, is only interested in taking money from his fans, and his only real interest in the NBA is using the league to enhance his pockets. Don’t knock the Clipper fans though, they feel like “being down” will eventually end——–they realise that even Sterling can’t live forever.

theEDGEParticipantIn the lockout season of 98-99 the Knicks almost won the play-offs, if it wasn,t for that lucky Elloitt shot or Avery’s corner jumper.
The Knicks are in this current state due to one man, Isiah Thomas.
Overpaying Jerome James at 6mil a year for doing nothing or Eddy Curry’s bloated contract.
Now the Knicks are cleaning up that mess.0 - Posted on: Wed, 08/18/2010 - 8:38am #378979

bobbybParticipantPeople claim the owners are cheap and greedy. No one says the players are greedy. The players make guaranteed money win or lose. The ownerstakes risks their own money and they should do what they want to. If the team isnt successful watch another team. I live in NY and i am a Nets fan, the Knicks spent plenty of money but not wisely

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantThe players make guaranteed money, but in the NBA the players’ salaries are tied to revenues. The players get 57% of BRI and 9 percent of every player’s salary gets put into an escrow account to guarantee ownership that labor costs do not exceed that amount. It is a partnership where the owners are not taking the big risks you want to believe. The NBAPA affords the owners more protection than any other union.

llperezClippers are the worst franchise in the NBA hands down. But for the past 10 years, they have started spending some money and some of the problems cant really be put on the owner or gm such as griffins injury or baron breaking down since he signed etc. The funny thing with the clipps franchise is that in the 20 years i’ve been watching, there really hasnt been too many moves where i scratch my head and think "what the hell are they doing" it just never seems to work out for them.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantMaybe I confused…
New York Knicks- Hall of Famers, 2 Championships, Conference Titles
Los Angeles Clippers- 5 winning seasons in 30 years.

knicks did not almost win it. they took 1 game from the spurs who dominated that post season. that game was the only one they lost. and that was 12 years ago.
none of what you said was accurate or on topic0 - Posted on: Wed, 08/18/2010 - 10:59am #379091
