I like Carmelo’s game but I dont like the idea of the Knicks blowing up their team just to land a star.   The Knicks need more than Melo to become a legit championship contender.   Right now I think they are being pressured by fans that want more Stars in the ""Big Apple".      The Nets are kinda crappy right now so they can blow things up but I would hate to see them lose Harris, Brooke, or Humphries(Kris he is not a star but he does his job).    I dont really care if Favors goes

I felt the same. I thought including Felton maybe too much, but before the season began we would all think not including Felton would be a complete joke. If they aqcuire Billups with the deal then I would pull the trigger. Dont forget these days acquiring a capable PG for Dantoni’s system would not be hard, they could easily pursuit Hinrich or Udrih someone like that to fill the void and most likely make Felton seem like a distant memory.

New Jersey should continue to build through the draft…….plain and simple

New York is offering a lot only because they can get Melo in FA but he wants financial security.

New York is reluctant to offer Mozgov which is holding the deal up but IMO this is the trade Denver and New York should agree on.

New York receives- Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Aaron Afflalo and Gary Forbes

Denver receives- Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Landry Fields, Timofey Mozgov, Anthony Randolph and 2014 1st Round Pick

Denver can replace Afflalo with Fields who is cheaper and just as productive, Chandler is a servicable G/F and Felton and Lawson are both UNC Products who both won National Championships. Mozgov is a project and Karl would definitely help his development. Anthony Randolph is the key. he can be used and dealt to Indiana, Minnesota, Portland or a team looking for a PF he is worth a 1st Rounder or Denver can keep him and hope he develops into a Hybrid 4 type able to guard 3/4/5 and push the ball as well as score.

Denver would also have a lot of CAP room and could sign Jeff Green or Thaddeus Young and a Center like Marc Gasol and a young score like Nick Young

Denver could look like this next year

    Felton-Fields-Green-Randolph-Gasol

    Lawson-Young-Chandler-Mozgov-1st Rounder

A young team but can compete in the West since its getting weaker I say a 7 seed at best 11 at worst
